Curious Or Intimidated?

A lot of people claim that they were intimidated by me upon first impression, but I find that a lot more people say that they found themselves rather curious toward me, more so than they are towards others. Also, many of my teachers confided in me that they saw 'something different' in me compared to other students (not bragging, just stating a fact here), and wanted me to open up so that they could understand me more-especially English and History teachers. I was always the student chosen to 'share your opinions with the class.'

So I guess what I am asking is, Are people more scared of us or generally more curious?

Definitely a combination of both. Sometimes we'll disappoint people.

I suspect that most people we meet are pretty much self-involved. As a consequence, others tend to be minor and supporting players in the continuing saga of their lives. To the extent that they notice other people at all, at least in a casual encounter, it is to determine how best to make an impression on them. I think that it takes more than just a brief social interaction with an INTJ, or any other personality type for that matter, for people to become scared, curious, annoyed or any other kind of reaction. Contrary to what appears to be popular opinion here, I think that most INTJ's are generally indistinguishable from the rest of the herd until you get to know one well.
