This can really go anywhere, but I was thinking about what gravity would be called if it wasn't called gravity. If you were responsible for naming the force that is gravity, what would you call it? If you had designed computers, what would they look like? Who decided that black is called black and white is called white?

How would you define and design the world if it were up to you?

“Black” comes from “blakaz” (“burned”) in the hypothetical language Proto-Germanic. It was first used by a hypothetical Proto-German named Proto-Helmut on a prototypical Thursday afternoon quite some time ago. Proto-Helmut said, “I sure do love wearing blakaz. It makes me feel so ... Proto-Goth.”

Ive always wished computers were designed to look like the von neumann probe in 2001: A Space Odyssey. Beds should be designed that way as well. Since Im a pompous asshole, in the totally sweet situation in which I would be able to name/rename gravity, Id definitely name it after myself.

My world would definitely have a futuristics/neo-noir aesthetic. Also, cigarette smoke would be purple, and it would still kill you.

• violent people would meet calligulan justice
• intoxication would not impair driving
• stalking would have it's own game-show
• either flammable or inflammible would be delexiconated
• INTP would be worshipped for our superior creative talents (all doors left open)
• "squee" would replace "squeal" in all fetish references
• people with high expectations for yard maintenance would be court-ordered to maintain all lawns in their neighborhoods.
• a second language would be required to graduate from high school
• saturday mornings would again be filled with decent cartoons

If I were the Dictator of the World: Get rid of cars, trucks, roads, freeways, replace with grass and bicycles and walking..get rid of huge corporations, put a limit on how big a company can get, bannish the ability to create dummy corporations...make education and birth control mandatory everywhere.

I guess I would do all this by waving my magic wand.
