Good books, good food & good company..... with plenty of time for reflecting and thinking on all of these.

I enjoy most when serial killers or spree killers et cetera mark up a large death toll or disaster strikes killing lots of people e.g. the events of 9/11.

I love seeing what absurd and outlandish post Zombicide will come up with next.

Seriously... we all know you have a "My Pretty Pony" collection and your favourite song is Kumbaya...!

Music.

Also animals. Disclaimer: Mostly the ones that won't or can't kill me... mostly.

For me it's not a particular thing or a particular pastime, but a kind of mental focus.

I most enjoy attentiveness. It's a wonder to look outward at all the fascinating things in the world, to notice the details in something as lovely as an Eastern Tailed Blue or as banal as cultural Marxism. It's also a wonder to look inward, as long as the looking doesn't resemble navel gazing or self-pity.

Attentiveness, then, which I suppose is a kind of devotion.

For me.

It's enjoying my freedom,

Being with the people I love,

Lying in the sun.

It's really about the simple things.

Either thinking or reading... most often, thinking about what I'm reading.

I think some of my favorite things are the following:

In my hometown of Houston, my favorite thing is enjoying a play at Miller Outdoor Theater in the summertime when it's warm in the evening. Laying out in the grass on a blanket under a clear sky, sipping wine and eating cheese and olives. I don't even watch the plays, since my wife and I usually sit really far away. I just enjoy laying down with my shoes off looking up at the stars, and listening to the performers through the speakers. It's very very pleasant and makes me feel blessed to be on this Earth.

Another thing that brings me great joy is if I'm on a cruise ship I enjoy going up to the top deck at like midnight when most of the lights are off. I find a dark area to lay on the deckchair, and light up a big cigar and sip on some Jack and Coke. Again, just staring up at the stars and listening to the waves crashing 80 feet below. Or staring out into the dark ocean.

Sort of weird I suppose. I guess I really enjoy imbibing alcohol and staring up at the stars? lol.

A good book, the kind that pulls you in and you become oblivious to the world around you. That, coupled with a good cup of coffee--the kind that won't upset my stomach. Enjoyed in a coffee shop during a quiet morning when no customers are around.

Alpine meadows--the coolness of the air, the warmth of the sun, the flowers, the sounds of birds. A simple picnic of cheese, olives and crackers shared.

I enjoy spending lazy weekend mornings in bed with my GF. I won't go into detail about that though...

I agree- Attentiveness. There is nothing better than being aware of everything around you. From the chilly air swirling around, the insects making music, to the computer I am typing on. There is always time to stop and think "How did this come to me?" I was sipping on some drinks, or had a little toke, could have been both but I stared at the entertainment center and thought how incredible would it be to map out the origins of my entertainment system. Manufactures, employees, patents etc. we live in an incredible and connected world. Same with the stars, I almost never intentionally do it, but if i'm outside I always glance up and be humbled by all that is there.

Either floating alone in the middle of a lake, looking at the sky and the trees all around, or being out in the world on my own, exploring some foreign land and culture and using a language in which I am not 100% fluent.

I enjoy getting a new and powerful intuitions through purposeful thought. Best experiences of my life!

The paths I travel to get those experiences (reading, conversation and meditation) are enjoyable too.

making elaborate plans about the future gives me great joy.

...good answer. I rescind the 'thinking and reading' answer and change it to plotting.

Well now I have a new problem wondering why the hell would one think about death while peeing. If I die or have to be committed for racking my brain with this nonsense I will haunt you.

Have a pleasant day
