Seriously, why do I have to have at least two posts to view links and 15 to reply? This has probably been asked before, but hey, I have to start somewhere.

You don't have to have 15 posts to reply, you just aren't able to reply to someone's Introduction thread with your first post so that you don't hijack their thread. You do need 15 posts to access a few of the subforums in the Community area.

The two posts for links restriction doesn't apply to the Introductions or Support and Feedback subforums, you can see links in those subforums. The two posts requirement for viewing and posting links elsewhere on the forum encourages posts and inconveniences spam advertisers.

Judging by the topic of the thread, i expected the question to be of a more general, rather than specific, nature. I'm kinda surprised myself that INTJs, who have a natural tendency to disregard rules, would have so many rules on their site.

The rules pretty much make good sense here though, and even the more "blah, that's so restrictive" rules do serve to make the forums neat and orderly. Basically, they cut the chaos that would normally ensue if everybody got to post whatever they wanted whenever they wanted.
