Hi everyone!

I'm an INTJ with a bit of an INFJ streak.

I just joined today after getting frustrated with the usual social sites and my IRL circle. I tend to focus a lot on good logic and, as polite as I do try to be (i.e. sticking to the subject instead of attacking the person), it doesn't win me a lot of friends. Hell, I left of Reddit -- supposed bastion of logic -- because the circle-jerk misogynism and "My case stands for them all" crap got tiring. I'm hoping that people here, at least as a whole, will be a more reasonable bunch who won't mistake my disagreements as rudeness and often emotion-less arguments as a sign that I don't have emotions.

I'm really quite sweet and caring once you get to know me! Promise! I've been hurt a lot before, but I still believe that people are worth helping and that humanity is worth saving, though that's probably not saying much as I value life in general. I'm a loyal friend who sometimes doesn't know when to let go (maybe it's harder when you have fewer close friends). I consider myself quite compassionate and often get into trouble being the "Devil's advocate" for marginalized people who I feel deserve more of a say.

I'm impressed by logic, kindness, compassion, empathy, sympathy, the pursuit of truth, and true selflessness (i.e. making sacrifices for others without expecting others to then take care of what you should have).

Thankfully, my INTJ husband loves me for who I am (and vice versa), but I could really use some more friends if they're the right kind of friend. It's a lonely world for us INTJs and it's good to know that, as much as we might enjoy time by ourselves, we're really not so alone in this world.

We have some of that here too, the internet seems to attract people like that.

I have an ESFJ husband (who embodies those things I listed above) so I come here for my "INTJ fix".

I hope you enjoy the forum.

Yes, I'm quite impressed by honesty and intelligence, too! Honesty is a must. Intelligence is a bit trickier to pin down. I think I am impressed more by how people use what they have then their actual intelligence scores. Certainly, anyone who is anti-intellectual turns me off.

Hmm... you sound like me... more an INFJ with a strong tertiary Ti. Come to the INFJ side...

Enjoy the forum.

Thanks Radojica, Rudy, and plushbug!

@Rudy
Lol! Maybe I will someday! I'm only about a point off of neutral T/F, at least that last time I tested. However, I think the descriptions of INTJs fit me better. We'll see I guess! This is the first time I've really gone out of my way to hang out with other INTJs beside my husband.
