After a lifetime of being told I am.
Took a personality test after a recent blowout with my wife who claims there's something wrong with me because I don't like to socialize. I feel validated to learn that I'm actually unique. |

Great article Az. Thanks. I think I'll print up a few of those as my personal brochure next time she drags me out to make new friends. Maybe I'll be able to avoid small talk and have some meaningful intelligent conversation. Nah...

Defending yourself as an introvert is a pain, as I've learned myself. :/ If you decide against the divorce option, and I hope it doesn't come to that, then you might try offering to accommodate some aspect of her behavior you find irritating, in return for her accommodating your introversion. Just a suggestion, though one that I've found to work in many types of relationships. In either case, please enjoy the forum! |
