I haven't anything interesting to say; as my MBTI type is posted below my name I doubt anything I could reveal about myself would come as a surprise to anyone here. So here's a post, and hello to you.

Thatīs perfectly okay - we INTJs thrive upon the familiar and trusted things. No surprises for us, please, No Sireee...

And welcome - hopefully you will yourself find something surprising at the forum.

Well, I guess you're right, if the MBTI description is all there is to you, then I guess you needn't say another thing. Hello and good bye, two posts minimalist.

The name you've chosen for yourself implies that you may simply just prefer not to share. If that assumption is correct, I have reason to believe that you may be witholding super amazing and suprising information.

I'm disapointed.

Haha. You're all mostly right.
Here we go, attempts at being surprising.

1. When the situation calls for it, I can be pretty funny, enough that I'm invited places to be the entertaining one and make everyone else feel comfortable. Then again, as soon as the dinner/party/outing is over, I'm emotionally drained and don't want to see anyone for at least a day.

2. At first I thought I was INTP. (INTJ portraits place a lot of emphasis on confidence, and while I'm called 'snobby' often enough by non NTs, confident doesn't seem to be my outstanding trait.)

3. College freshman, going on junior. (AP credits.)

4. VERY conservative. Rush Limbaugh looks right and sees me somewhere in the distance. With that said, 3 weeks ago I ended my 4 year vegetarian streak.

5. Bigbigbig fan of our armed forces.

6. As far as artistic knack goes, I'm very talented. (Yes, that's an arrogant statement, but its true.) I dislike artsy people though. You know who I'm talking about, those that SEEM (though may not be) mediocre in almost every way and sing praises to the art form of photography and that pathetic type of poetry with two words per line, describing the lightness of their hearts. They shop only at Urban Outfitters and thrift stores (and almost always have an Andy Warhol tote bag). They all wish they were British and think themselves tea connoisseurs, always drinking 'high' brands like Lipton, Tazo, Bigelow, and Twinnings.

7. I strongly dislike the Twilight Saga, which in my opinion, is a pathetic attempt at literature. I dislike it for revealing the mindless emotional conceit of the adolescent age group, and for fostering unrealistic selfish expectations in today's youth.

8. I'm not generally this blatantly hateful.

Whew....that was a mouthful.

Anyone surprised? Anyone?

An enemy of Twilight is my friend. Welcome to the forum! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, by the way, but you need 80 posts to fully enjoy all this board has to offer: 15 to unlock the "members only" section and 80 to see what we're up to in the "religion and mythology" section.

And yes, I saw that. And it bites, so I'm trying to stick my comments on threads with 23598743286742987 posts already. I don't want to be commenting for the sake of it, but if I'm going to, I don't want everyone to have to be reading it too.

Tell me more about #4! I want to better understand the linkage between being conservative and not being vegetarian. Also, how did that go? I have a few veggie friends and if they accidentally eat meat they get really sick

I'm realising that, see, 18 posts already!

My choice not to eat meat was in no way political, I just one morning woke up and wondered if I could do it. I figured I'd eat meat again when I missed it. That never happened. My choice to start eating meat again was DEFINITELY political. When I started college this semester, as soon as the animal rights activists and green groups caught wind of my dietary preferences they started flagging me down with the most ridiculous petitions and movements. I didn't like being associated with such a mindless movement.
With the global climate change being the latest fad, a stupid amount of emphasis (IMO) has been placed on not eating meat. I've done quite a bit of research on climate change and am pretty certain its a bunch of hogwash and will fade out when its no longer profitable or cool in the eyes of Hollywood. Vegetarianism, in the eyes of the public, is indicative of political persuasion, so once I got home for Christmas I ate a cheeseburger. I didn't care for the taste too much (didn't really care for it either way) but only had mild indigestion. It took a little under a week for my system to get used to meat, and the taste is growing on me.
So it wasn't a political decision. But then it was.

Didn't expect you to crack that quickly.

It was easier than putting up a fight, especially since a few personal details aren't all that important anyways.
