But really any Bergman is good for that. I've only been disappointed once (I didn't like Wild Strawberries). Also try Through a Glass Darkly.


Has anyone mentioned Balthazar (dir. Robert Bresson)? Really moving.

LOL I had exactly the same experience.
Mullholland Drive made me question a few things, first my own intelligence, then David Lynch's one. It's just... the craziest, most pointless thing I've ever seen. I think he had lots of fun making it, imagining the faces of people in the cinema..
