Bring me Beer! Leave it there, on the ground. Now walk away, slowly.

Runner beans - I have no idea what else is going on the plate but definitively runner beans. the beans down the end of the garden came in, the beans from the allotment came in and next door just dropped off a load because they have to much. We have two enormous punch bowls of beans. Beans, beans, beans.

Last night I realized I had a bunch of stuff that needed to be cooked asap... so I roasted a spaghetti squash, eight tomatoes and five turnips. Ate half the turnips and all the tomatoes, refrigerated the rest.

Then I decided I wanted coconut rice, so I made some in my rice cooker with extra sugar because sugar is tasty stuff. Had to make up for all those turnips somehow.

Teriyaki chicken and stir fried veggies...zucchini, onions, peppers and baby bok choy, served with brown rice.

And 2 hours later, I'm eating one of the choc chip cookies the daughter made today. Yum.

Not sure, but it probably shouldn't be popcorn like last night. Possibly steak and gratin potatoes from Costco.

The kids got several awards this week at school which came with free kids meals at a local restraurant. It's a Mexican place, which I am not very fond of, but I told them I would take them. Looks like I will be having the chicken and peppers out of a fajita.

spaghetti amatriciana - bacon, onions, canned tomatoes, red pepper flakes, parmesan
piece of comte cheese
cherry turnover
coke (for some bizarre reason, I considered the topic of food and soda pairings and concluded that a coke goes well with everything, whereas the taste of ginger ale clashes with some foods)
