Like the other posters, I'll find that task to be very easy.

I am often alone, but rarely lonely. I was invited to a friend's house for christmas, but I don't care much for watching people unwrap presents. I decided to go in for work on the 25th so that someone else can go do whatever it is they do for christmas.

yesterday I said to a coworker that solitary confinement would be a curious exercise for me, wondering if i have a threshold. i think not.

I begged her pardon and told her she was incorrect.

I would spend so much time in a therapists head i would probably get re-assigned.

The voices in my head won't shut up, so I could be lonely

I feel lonely often in the sense that I don't connect with anybody but I like being alone more so than I like being around others.

I must admit that this seems to be an impossible task for me. Being around people makes me very nervous mentally.

I'm by myself most of the time, but I'm hardly ever lonely.

Same. I actively find ways to be alone a lot of the time. It's not like I abhor being with other people, but it tires me out sometimes.

I'm quite lonely at the moment, which is why I'm here.

INTJs don't get lonely, do they? If not, I'm a bit jealous.

I get lonely sometimes... though posting on a forum is usually enough to curb it. If I had a job to focus on, I'd probably far less lonely.

I am especially lonely right now because I had to leave the forum where all my friends were (though on the bright side, most of them had already left or reduced activity). They appointed a mod who had previously made crude remarks about my sexuality, and believed that people who choose self-preservation via inaction over putting oneself at risk by acting to help another should be legally punished.

I started the thread after reading the article in the OP along with this cartoon. Looks like the thread has breathed its last so now I'd like to end it with the cartoon:

I feel loneliest when I try to not be alone. For when I'm in the presence of my peers it reminds me that I don't belong. I do not fit. And they do not understand me.

Meh, I'm supposed to be an E and even I don't really get lonely, I can feel alone and disconnected, which sucks, I can want to be around people for something interesting to watch and to feel re-energised, but I don't often feel lonely.

Why don't all the ENTP's try being nice for the next 6 weeks and not say anything disparaging when you write or speak. That would be totally different from constantly making sarcastic, disparaging remarks.

*pushes Seducer off a cliff* crap! I'm so not good at this game

Well I'm leaving tomorrow for winterbreak, and believe me, I'd rather stay at home and be lonely. I feel that I need to be alone, and I'm defenetivly not enjoying seing the whole family for christmas. I can't escape : ) I will in my mind, though.

If you forced all INTJs to socialize for 6 weeks straight, you'd see a huge death toll.

What is this "loneliness" of which you speak?
