I just took the Myers-Briggs test yesterday for the first time and was classified as an INTJ. I actually then found another version of the test and took it to double-check the results and . . . yep . . . INTJ.

For some reason I was quite surprised to find an entire forum--and a very active one, at that!--dedicated to a personality type. As I've read through many of the threads, however, in some ways I feel like for the first time in my life I'm encountering people with traits similar to myself.

Too bad this is a forum on the Interwebz and we don't get to sit around a circle like a therapy group, but I suppose I'll take what I can get. Anyway, I look forward to getting to know everyone here.

I thought the word on the street was that SPX is fat and ugly?

If they ever scheduled it, I'm sure it would be on my bowling night.

No, sir. . .

You clearly have me confused with someone else.

We could all just go bowling instead.

If we were all sitting in the same room we still wouldn't talk we'd be on laptops posting. We've had endless discussions about just that. However, some of the meet ups have gone amazingly well from what I've heard from various people. I have yet to attend one personally and unless they hold one in my city I'm not likely to anytime soon. Though I did almost go to the one in Atlanta.

Anywho, welcome.

I know I'd kill to share a pizza with the last word crew. That would be a blast.

Well, my thoughts about Pizza is that, it's like unemployment, it really is a problem and we need to fix the power grid because otherwise we dragons will get elect-cupid and that is not because we have not reformed health care so that senior worry about light bulbs.

I don't know if I'd kill for it but it would be interesting. I'd like to watch the rest of you interacting together. I suspect that in a group of INTJs I'd still be an observer.

Hells yeah. I'd bring the beer and the torch.

SPX. So you're the S&P 500? I'd say "welcome," or at least "good luck," but you've already met SMB.

Okay I wasn't sure at first but I really think I'm going to like you. I'd still only observe but I like you.

Welcome, SPX!

Ok, so... I can't resist.

What does it stand for?

Check out the forum reference guide here. It has a summary of what type of posting is, and is not, allowed/encouraged on the forum. I recommend looking at it to avoid ridicule, post deletion, and possible death.

If you're looking for more info than that, you can read almost everything you need to know about the forum here, and a few more miscellaneous questions about forum features are answered by this thread here.

If you have questions not covered by these links, or need help with some aspect of the forum, you can create a thread in the Support & Feedback section, or contact one of the moderators on this list.

Please, enjoy!

Oh, SPX. Hmm. . .

It stands for Soren Patrick Xavier. I do a modicum of writing and other creative endeavors and that's my pen name. If I have my way about it then one day everyone here will know it, and not by my forum participation.

Hello.

Don't pay any attention to SMB, no one does. That's why she is so cranky.

I only stumbled on to this yesterday (actually while searching INTJ jobs) and had a very similar reaction. Something along the lines of "wow, not only can I see where each person is coming from, I agree with it and have had some of the same reactions!"

Don't get used to it. We all rarely agree on anything. There will be groups of people here that you get along with and enjoy their posts and then there will be some you want to reach through the monitor and find their off button.
