Granted. It's a gusher at the bottom of my garden, and I'm filthy rich. Woohoo. Oh, drat. It's not oil. Who put that septic tank there?!?

Let's see if I can get round this from another angle... I wish to be poor!

Granted, you are poor. Hmmm, this wish corrupter is broken and won't let me corrupt, oh well. Lucky you, your wish gets to come true.

*unwraps and boots up new wish machine to replace the malfunctioning one*

Just for the heck of it I'll throw in the cardboard box that the new wish machine came in. No need to thank me. I'm sure you can decorate it up and make it homey.

I wish no good deed would go unpunished.

Grr. Granted. You are rewarded with a brand new HOME. Who's a lucky girl, then? But save your newspapers... I hear those cardboard boxes can be mighty cold in the winter.

I wish this wish machine works better than the last one.

Granted, yes this wish corrupter does work better because it has developed AI and is fooling you into thinking that it's broken, lulling you into a false sense of security while it's really waiting for the ultimate wish to be corrupted.

I wish this thread would finally die out.

Granted. Demolition is scheduled for May 2032. Large green rubbish bags and a potato will be issued to each shareholder. Until then, we recommend looking away discreetly and working on Monte's math puzzler.

I wish I had a P-51 Mustang.

Raise your left hand if you can translate any of those, and your right if you are disturbed by that fact.

edit: how do you prevent it from "translating" the html?

ooooh yay! Nicka sprung the wee trap! *thinks--good luck getting out.*

erm...I mean...

Keeping with protocol, this commentary is deemed a wish:
Granted. You learn to prevent the translation when you acquire a mysterious instruction that directs you to back track to the post, read the fine print, follow the trail and you fearlessly experiment until you figure it out.

I wish you a good night!

I wish I didn't have to use a cell phone.

Granted. She will henceforth be known as "Wartie"... and it'll be all your fault.

I wish I had a good place to hide when she reads that.

Granted. You are now called 'Gracious' but you do have warts. Can't have everything in life, didn't anyone tell you that.....well, if yes, it didn't go in too well

Yes. One makes me think I'm tipsy.

And I get a free wish because Lupin didn't. Let's see... something about returning warts to sender... Ahem!

I wish to return this parcel.

Granted. You return the parcel only to find that it boomerangs back as 'Return to Sender' in a never ending pass the parcel so in the end you decide to give the contents away....to science.

*sorry about the warts FC....hope they get better soon

I wish for an enjoyable and lengthy American diner breakfast with scrambled eggs on rye bread, grilled tomatoes, hash browns and a side of spinach accompanied by green tea and The Economist. Oh and don't forget the ketchup....just a squeeze, mind

Granted, but you are not allowed to read The Economist in a diner, only the National Enquirer so you are asked to leave before your breakfast is even served. (spinach? really?)

Grrrrr food on this thread AGAIN and now I am going to bed hungry. Sigh. I wish I wasn't craving a English fry up breakfast as a late night snack. (Bacon, eggs, tomatoes and mushrooms with a buttered english muffin on the side, mmmm)

Granted. You aren't craving an English fry up breakfast as a late night nibble. You are now craving spinach. With a side of spinach, and spinach on top. I think you might have those quads back...

I wish I had an apple.
