Granted

But then they will always know what you're saying and then you won't be able to make any sort of jokes and life will be as boring as HELL!

I wish for a 30 carat diamond necklace!

Granted! The thing not only wieghs you down, it makes you a regular target for muggings, assault and attempts on your life. Your life is unhappier and lonlier as never before. Suddenly it dawns on you that money and expensive trinkets have little to do with love and happiness. Unfortunately, you cannot take it off. After you are eventully killed, during your autopsy the Hindu coroner shakes his head sadly and hopes that you have learned your lesson regarding 'gold digging' so that next life you will be happier.

I wish certain subjects didn't cause me to want to pull out my soapbox.

Granted.

You wake up in the morning and everyone has conformed to your ideal utopia. You proceed through each day as if it were exciting and new. But after years of everything you desired coming true you bore of the lack of people and issues to criticize. Slowly you forget what it is that makes you who you are, what makes you unique. You begin to become irrational, jumping to irrational conclusions and following your emotional whims until you can no longer stand the reality of your own thoughts. You deteriorate into a mere reflection of the utopia that you created. Unsatisfied, unable to rationalize, to think, or find reason to process the reality surrounding you, you live.

I wish my reality were more like my happy daydreams

You fly so high, you meet the sun and are nothing more that a smoldering pile of ashes.

I wish I could read minds.

Granted! Government frogmen learn of your ability and kidnap you to read the minds of the worlds most evil and vial people. You are exposed to so many horrendous mental images that it effectually renders you a babbling idiot.

I wish that I didn't have a headache.

You are forever stuck in Sunday with church bells ringing so loudly that you get an eternal headache.

I wish that I was the fairest of them all.

Granted

But your knight in shining armour does everything for you. Opens doors, chooses clothes, won't leave you alone... You lose your independence, feels smothered, then becomes enraged and ends up killing him. Thus once again chivalry is dead!

I wish for a second chance at love.

I wish for the most exuberant death.

Granted!

You have the most exuberant death; it involves a lot of stimulants leading to an overdose; but hey, you're pretty damn exuberant.

Your food is always forgetting how long it needs to cook for and you are stuck forever devouring charred remains.

I wish I was more wise.

Granted.

Your hair follicles fear their demise and work in overdrive creating thousands of feet of hair every night when you fall to sleep, you are unable to stay awake long enough to keep it trimmed it eventually suffocates you in your sleep.

I wish that there was the "perfect person" for me

You still have no idea who they are, though.

Your emotions become so predictable that people cease to find you interesting.

I wish I knew and could become close to the "perfect person" for me.
