I'm in the process of writing a psychology paper (due Saturday) on classical conditioning. We have to think of an example from real-life or the media and pick out the UCS, UCR, CS, and CR. I can't think of any exciting examples, though. I'd like to have some insight from personal experiences, so if you have a decent example, let me know!

If you define what those acronyms stand for, Im sure I could give you a few examples of them.

From a Google search;

In classical conditioning, a neutral stimulus is paired with a stimulus that elicits a reflex or other response until the formerly neutral stimulus alone elicits a similar response. The stimulus that causes the natural reflex is called the unconditioned stimulus (UCS); the reflex itself is designated the unconditioned response (UCR). The neutral stimulus that is paired with the UCS is the conditioned stimulus (CS), and the learned response to the conditioned stimulus is the conditioned response (CR).

Headstrong, care to elaborate?

I think I remember this from Intro to Psych...

IIRC, Pavlov's Dog/Bell was the example my teacher used (also maybe touching a hot stove).

I often come home from classes at either 1:00 or 6:00, so I generally eat right after stowing my bike in the spare room. Thus, when I walk through the door of my house I feel a little hungry, even if I already ate. Just a small personal example.

UCS - Coming home hungry
UCR - Eating
CS - Coming home
CR - Feeling hungry

There's a lot of routine-based things you could come up with for an average person, I'm sure.
