Dont know if i put this in right forum, sorry if not please move it..

So back to topic, do you know any INTJ pilitic, that involves in high ranks, suchs as prezident or
premier, someone that can do major influence to countrys pilitical life.

and what do you think, would country controling be easier, better if INTJ team could lead it?

nowadays i found only extraverts in politics, they seem very unexpertised in many questions. i dont know about your country, but when it cames to voting in my country, you know voting for one or another laws, offers in government they even talk to each other what to choose, yet voting is annonymouse...

it seems that those "fake" strategists, in this case E types, they show there selves more than I types, thats why they get the leading in there hands, but when it comes to tru leadership, they dont know anything about it...

what do you think?

(sorry for bad english, english is not my native language

The only INTJ I can think of is Calvin Coolidge when he was president. Apparently he did a pretty good job. He was known in office for not saying much. I have to say I cracked up at some of the things he said, since I could totally see myself saying them. When asked why he went to parties when it was clear he didn't enjoy them, his response was "Got to eat somewhere."

Sure. Dick Cheney had a lot of influence in the last American administration. Obama is an INTJ too -- at least to us here in Chicago who knew him before the teleprompter.

Sadly the INTJs that get into politics tend to be the corrupt and/or stupid ones.

Also when informed that someone had made a bet that they could make him say more than two words at a function he replied "You lose."

No. INTJs, as a group, are not known for being good at interacting with people, which is a skill that's necessary in politics. They can also be intellectually arrogant and uncompromising, which could lead to an atmosphere that lacks a variety of opinions and flexibility. To put it into an exaggerated example, "Hey morons! I don't care what your stupid little problems are. Just shut up, listen to me, and do what I tell you, because I'm smarter than the rest of you put together," isn't a good platform to run for public office on.

I think political INTJs-- at least the ones who really lack the personal touch-- would do better in a behind-the-scenes role. Like as a strategist or a policymaker or a political researcher.

I think this is being a little unfair, you've just highlighted all of the INTJ cons and none of the pros. I'm an INTJ and I always felt a little awkward interacting with people I didn't know very well or had just met but my girlfriend pointed something out to me that when I thought about it was pretty much spot on. She said basically that if I want to I can actually come across as being very sociable and engaged. I've had two job interviews in the last few years where I was offered the job on the spot within 15 minutes. Later both employers said that they felt so comfortable talking to me from the get go and almost immediately wanted to hire me. So anyway I think the point I am trying to make is that an INTJ, if they really want to, can turn it on and press the flesh so to speak.

Also, I know you used an exaggerated example but I don't think most INTJ's would use the strategy of saying shut up morons I know what is best for you because they would be smart enough to know that strategy would not work. Remember INTJ's can also be manipulative ; ).

INTJ also make natural leaders provided that we come to the conclusion that the current leadership and or strategy is failing and that we have a superior (in our minds) strategy or approach to tackling whatever it is that the group is trying to achieve.

Its called acting. And it's damn tiring.

Do you think you could keep that up all day long, every day?
(what with the media hounding as they do)

If anyone can determinedly say they're an INTJ type *and* answer yes to the above question they should try politics and tell us how it goes. ;-)

Well first of all I would like to point out that unless you are in the middle of a tough campaign you are not hounded by the media as a politician. When is the last time you saw TMZ following a member of the legislative branch? Also its not like politicians actually sit down and talk to a lot of voters on a regular basis. Its more about public speaking. I never said it would be easy for an INTJ to go into politics they would have to just make sure that they had down time to be alone and recharge the social battery.

Well I don't know about over there, but most of the top ranks here are followed by an entourage of cameras. Granted, the backbenchers aren't as bothered... because, as individuals, they're largely unimportant and can't do jack.
