This thread was inspired by the Joan Rivers roast on comedy central. There are certain famous (and infamous) people that annoy me, and I'm not sure why. (Maybe because they suck). If any of you are fans, I mean no offense, please understand. That's not my intention.

Mine are:

Kathy Griffin
Roseanne (Barr)
Kevin Federline
Paul Reiser
Richard Lewis
Paris Hilton
Elizabeth Hasselbeck
Regis Philbin

People I used to like but annoy me no end now:

Robin Williams
Eddie Murphy (if he would stop making those idiotic comedies I'd go back to respecting him)

So how about you guys?

*sheepishly admits to loving Paris H & Roseanne*

Never could stand the sight of Robin Williams - unbearable.

Jerry Seinfeld.

Dana Carvey - he finds himself much, much funnier than he could ever really be.

Oh, my god, how could I forget:
Carson Daly.
Jimmy Fallon.
They are the kind of guys that say something and kind of laugh uncertainly at their own joke while looking around to see if the rest of their crowd approved. Ick. Sycophantic personifications of empty space.

I find celebrities (or the state of being a celebrity) as a whole largely worthless...their job is to entertain me and NOT push their beliefs on me, and I'm not usually entertained enough to justify their exorbitant salaries. I can't stand, in particular, celebrity worship, since it is entirely irrational (which I gather is an INTJ pet peeve).

With that out of the way, I'd have to say the celebrity I most can't stand at the moment is Barack Obama...he should first and foremost be our president, which he is mostly failing at the moment.

*shakes head* You need to google Fox's interviews. Repugnant.

Anniston is a regular Hollywood actress. Most of them are highschool or college drop outs. And they are shaping public opinion these days.

I agree with the Whoopie Goldberg dislike too. Every time I see a excerpt of The View over the news (although that is not that often) she looks extremely judgamental and invariabably on the wrong side of things.

He just wants to make me hide my face in pure embarassment and writhe uncomfortably.

I think I hate everyone listed here, plus.

Basically any Scientologist is at teh top of the list. A hatred carefully nurtured by my mother who does the evil eye aversion any time she sees a picture of one. Makes face cream commercials entertaining.

Child actors. All of them.

OK, except maybe Natalie Wood and Natalie Portman, in limited doses.

Gwyneth Paltrow irritates me beyond measure... and I wish she didn't because it's a great waste of my time to get annoyed by her antics.

I was just minding my own business lurking in the game sub-forum, when this huge "sucking" noise shook the house and I found myself in this thread.

Is there a way out? Maybe if we delete all references to Tom Cruise the sucking will be reduced to the point where we can escape....

Tom Cruise

Repeated usage of filthy language like that indicates Tourette's Syndrome, and the old adage of "ignore it and it will go away" isn't working in this case.

Would you be more comfortable with "Dogshit in Elevator Shoes"?

8) The brunette woman in the Yoplait commericals (don't ask me why)

I know who you're talking about and I hate her, too. The reason why is because the ever-so-obvious marketing tactic of showing an empowered woman on the phone with her probably empowered woman friend turning around and speaking to her probably cuckold husband, asking "Hun, what're you doing?" as he reaches into the fridge that belongs to her in the house that will belong to her someday when they get divorced. All to sell yogurt. Amazing. What is scary is it probably works, too. "Hey look how she gets to talk to her decent-looking, non-fat husband, in their lovely house! I want to have that control! I live in a shitty apartment with a fat ugly guy! If I buy Yoplait, maybe I can have her crucial life!!!"

I'll post my list later when I get back.
