A site for INTJs? sign me up! hey whats up im Nathan. I live in San Diego but i need to get the hell out of here. I'm 100% introvert on the tests I've taken... I went to a concert once... that's enough for one lifetime. There are so many mouth breathers here that I just threw up in my mouth a little bit. A bunch of yuppie no-talent hacks that worship money as god and then try to morally judge you.

The more I learn the more I realize how ignorant I am. Go Socrates. I'm into programming and poker. I make a little bit of money on the side with poker but I'm making my own poker database that I think is going to stomp the competition. And when an INTJ thinks it... It seems to mean more, in my experience. Everything I've read about INTJs seems to uncannily apply to me one way or another. And I've read a lot about it.

This year I found out how good I am at brainwashing myself. I've been living my life in a zoned out haze for over a decade now. I've known I've wanted to work in the computer science industry since freshmen year in high school, but the school systems here are a joke and they completely turned me off to learning. I graduated high school in 2002 and still haven't graduated with a degree in computer science at SDSU (31 more units).

I just recently diagnosed myself with ADD and got prescribed Adderal and all of a sudden I can read now. I've always had sub par grades but now that I'm basically taking speed I've received straight A's. It's nice to be able to read a paragraph without having to read it 8 more times. It's pathetic that I was never diagnosed until now but it makes sense because I used my intelligence to compensate a little. Also my best friend (ESFP) had ADHD and I figured I didn't have it because I was nothing like him.

I have the highest will power of anyone I know. It's a shame I don't use my gift in a more productive way. Hopefully soon I'll be programming much more. I feel like my ADD qualities allow me to concentrate for unlimited amounts of time on certain activities that stimulate my brain. This led me to be easily addicted to certain video games. If an activity is always actively making me think I can do it for 16 hours a day... sleep... wake up... and do it for another 16 hours... I don't get bored in a normal way. If I do get bored for even a few moments the ADD kicks in until the boring part ends.

I think I've left the house twice in the last week or two (for school). I'm being a super hermit lately.

I am socially retarded. I'm the worst in interview situations. It takes tremendous amounts of energy to filter my stream of conciseness during a conversation. My friends like to say I have Asperger's in many such situations. I'm likely to offend many people... but then try to make up for it later.

Both of my parents are S people. My dad is ESTJ (gaurdian)... has anyone else noticed that this personality type always clashes with INTJ? I have on multiple occasions. My mom is ESFJ. Both my parents have no common sense and are both huge weirdo nerds with book smarts. I think this environmental setting caused me to be... tortured for one... but also I believe that I am a much more balanced INTJ because of it. I feel like I've developed good SFP skills although I think public school pushed me to 100% introvert.

I'd like to hear from anyone that can relate to any of this.

Oh, we can relate.

You seem to have devoted quite a bit of energy to self-exploration. You can continue that here, where you will find some tools that will help.

Your opening post was very interesting. I'm looking forward to hearing you in the threads.

I'll bet your parents have more common sense than you think...

my parents are the two biggest weirdos on the planet... One time my dad literally advised me to not get into any gang fights after dropping me and my friends off at a theme park... he also said, "if you see a bomb don't try to diffuse it" My friends couldn't even look him in the face because they were all trying to hide laughter instead. They knew he wasn't being metaphorical.

My mom is a Jehovah's Witness. If you know anything about that cult you can infer a lot. When she went to her high school reunion she thought that no one did drugs back when they were attending... needless to say she was out of the loop. Several of the rules made for me revolved around stopping me from impregnating girls, despite my complete lack of a sex life (lost my virginity at 19, you did it mom and dad!). When my mom was gone girls were not allowed in the house; only the garage. I went on a camping trip for my best friend's birthday party. the first question was "will there be girls there?" the answer was yes so the only way I could end up going was on the condition that i slept with my friend's grandma in an RV instead of outside with the rest of the group.

I'm always open to suggestion... I see what you mean... it's just that these stories go on and on for a seemingly endless roller coaster ride.

I wrote down a "best of" list once in high school as a coping mechanism. its still around here somewhere... ahhh to bring back those memories of utter foolishness.

The site got stale a few months ago, but I put it into a zip-lock bag with a wedge of apple and everything's ok now.

I wore this orange hair only once. I was boarding with two of my friends and we all wore one so we could see each other easily. I've never been talked to by so many strangers in my life.
