I'm a big animal lover, are any of you guys?
personally one of my favorite compliments came when, after handling a dog that had bitten everyone who had tried to pick it up, the owner said I must be an animal person. I think its kind of funny, people are always telling me that they can't see me being good around animals or children( both having that ability to "smell out bad people"). I have always liked children and can handle any animal without getting bitten, (well there was one really temperamental snake once). |

I love animals :D My favorites, though, are sharks and peregrine falcons, not mammals. I like dolphins as well, but not as much as the other two.

Animals are great. I think it's because they don't talk at me when I'm in a room with them.

I am not an INTJ, but I do have one INTJ friend.
She is not an "animal person" per se, and is not the person one would generally envision having a pet, yet she is very proactive in regards to animal rights (or so it seems). Once she saw an individual eat an insect. She was utterly shocked and furious. She latter informed me that she felt like attacking the individual, and the only reason she decided not to was because of her pacifism. |

Yeah. Our dog doesn't 'talk' much, thank God. Nor does the fish ^__^ |

I like most cats, because they are independent and don't bother me much. I don't like dogs because they are loud, stinky and needy.

I love nonhuman animals, because I have many problems thinking about things such as 'where did all the matter/energy in the world come from', and moral quandaries. Animals don't worry about that, don't understand concepts such as good and evil. It is very relaxing. Also, I don't have to work to much for my dog to accept me.

I love animals. Another INTJ I know runs an impromptu rescue... well it's not really a rescue, he just can't leave an animal out to die, so if something is a stray he'll take it in and care for it and try to find it a home. Fortunately he doesn't have a lot of stray cats in his neighborhood, otherwise he'd be a crazy cat... lady?

As it is, he has 2 cats (strays who found him, one he bottle fed from kittenhood), a lizard that came in the bananas in WalMart, and a rat which had previously been snake food, but survived. Cruelty to animals offends me deeply. They are a "lower" species and therefore almost completely at our mercy. Therefore, it's our responsibility to treat them well. I have a friend who once lit a moth on fire. It really upset me. Most people think that's silly, I don't really see a moth as any less important in the grand scheme of things than a human. Killing is natural, but I see no reason to make it cruel. Having said all that, I think some testing on animals is necessary, I eat meat, wear leather and kill spiders when I find them in my house (if they're outside I let them live). |

Yes. I have a deep connection with all creatures, most bugs included, that is greater than that which I feel for most people. I volunteer and contribute to a no-kill, cage-free cat shelter. Spiders that find their way into my house live there unmolested, unless one of the six cats gets 'em.
I enjoy other people's small children but never ever wanted my own. "The Cat Whisperer" |
