Hope it gets better!
I am studying for a final for an intro to sociology class, and as I am reading through the selected works, I can't help but feel how useless and bias most of the data is. Most sociologist "create" a problem by making generalizations about a group of people, and then dissect how they interact. This is all well and good, but it's not quite science. Many conclusions are drawn that revolve around feelings, which obviously don't account for people that think without using feeling.
In the past few months I've come to the conclusion that most conflict in this world is based on people of differing personality types doing their best to interact with each other. Many times, this is impossible, and sociology seems to make it's job to "expose" groups who make an effort to surround themselves with people who they feel more comfortable around. They see bias and inequality and I see the natural order of things. sorry, this studying has been irritating and I needed to vent!
I feel like the MBTI system is like algebra or calculus, and sociology is like trying to do algebra problems using written English instead of numbers.
