It seems that often times, when things get heated around here in specific threads, some INTP comes along and calm as can be lays the facts bare. I like the fact that they seem to keep cool even when the general tone of a given thread is something like... "If this were not the internet I would reach across this table and smash your goddamn face right into it!" (the next time you see a point being hotly debated, look hard and you'll see it written between the lines).

So let's hear it for INTPs.

...and just as often we see INTP sneak into perfectly good threads and derail the entire subject and make the INTJ's go: "If this were not the internet I would reach across this table and smash your goddamn face right into it!" We are a pain in the ass like that.

If you think about it, INTJf is a haven for INTP's...why? Because as long as there are serious people in this world, smartasses will never lack for opportunity to practice their trade.

INTP love... they are needed, some INTJs around here take themselves way too seriously.

That was made so much more awkward with your avatar of a psychotic individual.

Yes, and let us celebrate INTPs for not being as serious to the point of zeal about arguments, as yes, this forum can get intense with all the smartasses everywhere.

The only thing I don't like about you guys is that arrogance thing, how some INTPs have no idea what they don't know...

Is it possible to be an INTP and not a 'smartass'?

Some of them are missing the 'smart' part, but they all seem to have the last part down pat.

Some INTJs can't resist being smartasses either.

Exactly. There's not too many more things more fun to an INTP than provoking somebody who can't help but react.

Sorry, but INTP's don't have much balance.

I have plenty of balance, thank you very much. I practice all the time walking along fences etc.

PS. You probably want to justify just what the hell you're talking about.

I can balance a spoon on my nose. Does that make me a more or less balanced INTP than HackerX? Do I get a trophy if I win?

I think it involves magic...and a spoon.

Well if the process of knowing something you don't know requires magic and a spoon and you say there is no spoon that means we can not know things that we don't know. HackerX was right all along! Truly a paragon of balance and INTPnessisity is he.

On a side note, could a spork be used as a substitute for a spoon in our quest for unknown knowing?

I hadn't really paid much attention to INTPs (or this board for a while), so now I'm realising what I've been missing.

Who died and made you Distibutor of the Cake?

I call dibs on Lord of the Cookies! One cookie to rule them all!

On a side note, has anyone noticed the similarities between sporks and the quantum uncertainty principle? Is it a spoon? Is it a fork? Does the act of looking at it change what it is? I posit that what is inside of Schrodinger's box is not a cat at all, it is a spork...a fantastic cake eating spork....cake....
