There seem to be a lot of questions specifically about and for the ladies of the forum, but none specifically directed at the males. Why is that?

Are we just inherently boring and transparent, or are we intrinsically uninteresting (to one another, and to the ladies)?

Just wondering.

I think INTJ males are hilarious. But I also think that because INTJ females are something of a minority, less is known about them.

We're so far outside of the realm of a "normal" female that we're inclined to find out if we're really that odd, or if there are other women out there that experience things similarly.

That's my take on it, anyway. I'm not sure about the threads about INTJ females started by males. I suppose they're just curious.

We're not boring, we're just stereotypical, regarding the typology. The INTJ description seems tailor suited for men. Therefore, there isn't much to discuss that hasn't been already stated in the type description. Sure, there's always the "In which ways are you different from the INTJ type description" topic, but that's not for males, that's general.

I think one of the major hypes with INTJ females is the fact they seem too good to be true (A logical woman? NO WAY!).

[exagaeration]Well were not boring its just the rest of the world doesn't see that maths and science are the most interesting things in life - far more fun than going out.[/exageration]

But seriosuly I think people who don't know me will classify me as boring as I do like to spend alot of time working / researching stuff - also i NEED to if i want a chance of getting a 2:1 or better in my degree.

Hmm...well I'm new to typology so I can't type others yet, and thus can't say whether or not I think INTJ guys are boring. BUT I can say that, as a girl, I know that many people perceive ME to be boring. (But I consider THEM not worthy of getting to know anyway, so no one loses there...)

For speculation's sake, I don't think I would see a male INTJ as boring. I think I would be happy to find someone as logical/nerdy as I am. However, since I am fairly okay with not socializing, it might be nice to have someone draw me out of my shell. But even then, I've been doing an okay job of slowly (slowly!) developing my E side, so I don't think that would be much of an issue.

Honestly, what draws me most to a person is their passion for something and their competence in it, and it seems like INTJs (both genders) pretty much have this covered.

You guys are absolutely not boring!
I have a great male INTJ friend and we have the best time! We laugh at each other's jokes, share the same political views, and don't take ourselves or each other too seriously. By that I mean we are relaxed with one another. I will admit it took us a couple of years to get to that point but that has nothing to do with him being boring.

We're boring to the wrong people.

I've met people who think I'm fascinating and I've met people who think I'm intollerably dull. It's just a matter of finding people who get excited about the same things.

Hello no! In case I haven't said it enough, INTJ males are just about my favorite kind of men. I love the sense of humor, the personality (yes, even the "negative" parts of it), the way of thinking. I have to agree with others that the type description seems to fit pretty well, so I'm always looking at how the ones I know do and do not fit into that.

I drive a sports car, have a flaming-red "crotch rocket", I spend my summers finding twisty roads in remote places to drive insanely fast on. I love racing and prowl the Midwest and East going to races. When I'm not doing car-stuff I listen to music (all types), read SciFi, paint, garden, and cook. I also veg-out in front of the TV watching; Discovery Channel, History Channel, SciFi Channel, Science Channel, NatGeo, Food Network, CSI(s), Heroes, K-Ville, Health Channel, Adult Swim, Comedy Channel. I'm non-religous, apolitical, and ecologically neutral. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

All in all I'd say that I was pretty interesting. It's just that most people either don't know, or don't care to know anything about me.

Just saying...

We're like aliens as compared to the rest of our species.

INTJ men are just statiscal anomalies in comparison to other men... :P

Therefore INTJ men aren't intrinsically boring. It's us women who are freaks of nature :P

To me, "normal" is a statistical abberation. No one is "normal"! It's just that INTJs are more "not normal" than most!

I wouldn't call myself boring, but I do tend to have awkward silences with a girl that I'm pursuing- it's like, I want to say something, but I don't want to offend her. Sometimes, I gamble, but most of the times, I just stay quiet.

Which sometimes could be a good thing, because some girls liked me for being this "dark, non-talkative mystery man." Eh. I guess it varies from girl to girl. As for my own personal evaluation, I'm definitely not boring. I always have a story to tell, a new joke, can make fun of any situation, love discussions, etc.

Actually, I would say that normal is a perception, and the majority of people aren't normal. We are (along with a few others, such as some INFX's)

Invert this to see what an "interesting" person would be to most people:
1. A deliverer of gossip about the trivial detail of other's lives and
2. A generator of gossip via spontaneous decisions, rash emotions and good storytelling.

Polar opposite to our definition of interesting ("original yet rational views"?).

I'd suggest we are "intrinsically uninteresting" to many people since we pursue our works with a passion that often excludes others.
'Boring' implies a slow-witted, dull mind but I find no-one here boring.

That, I can agree to, except I'd change "excludes" to "eludes".

I'm the life of every party, regardless of what other participants want. I might seem boring, but just because I'm having too much fun entertaining myself with introspection.

I dont think we are boring; far from it to those we care enough about to know well.

But since we dont put out much effort to make others like us, I can understand how the great unwashed could (incorrectly) view us as boring.

I'll say this: I have never in my life met an INTJ male who was boring.

Not only are all my INTJ male friends fantastically funny and entertaining, but they're also just... freaking weird. There's never a dull moment with them.
