We're Moving!

INTJ Forum will be moving to a new host within the next day or two. The forum has been successful and our resource usage exceeds the upgrades available from our current host. Unfortunately, there will be some downtime with this move while the DNS propagates. I will try to start this move during our off peak hours so it affects as few users as possible. The chatroom is hosted on a separate server and will have no downtime during this transfer.

Roughly between 2am and 11am in the United states, but I wouldn't recommend avoiding the forum at any specific time. I don't really know when the downtime will be as I will be waiting on others to help with the move and the actual downtime isn't something I can predict. It could be down less than an hour or all day depending on how long propagation takes.

The transfer is over and we're now on a new server. If anyone experiences any issues (slowness, database errors, etc) please let me know.

Hmm, I'm going to have to do some research at work. Site works fine from my home, but I can't access it at work now. I'm likely contending with a firewall issue. Bummer.

What kind of error are you getting?

This may be unrelated, but some users (including one of the administrators) have reported still seeing the old version of the site with the maintenance message up. Some users are seeing the old site if they use intjforum.com and but see the live site with www.intjforum.com, some are seeing the reverse, some are seeing the old site with both urls, and some (hopefully, most) are seeing the live site with both urls. I'm guessing that some members are still seeing the DNS cache on some ISPs and this will clear up for everyone by tomorrow.
