Back in the very early days of this forum (yeah, I don't post that much but I'm a founding member, yo), I put together the mostly tongue-in-cheek "Compleat Idiot's Guide to the INTJ." This was based largely on member inputs that were provided mostly in

.

Since it hasn't been talked about in a while, it occurred to me that a multitude of newer forum members may not even be aware of it. So I'm just bringing it up again.

The Guide is located here:

And for you spelling pedants: "Compleat" was intentionally spelled that way because it sounded more snobbish.

I read the entire thing around the time when I joined. From what I recall it makes some assertions about a few alleged INTJ traits that don't apply to me. Overall it was an interesting read, with a lot that did apply.

I think that this was the funniest thing I have ever read, yet so true at the same time.

Some things applied. Some things didn't.

I think it was just meant to be humorous; to get the ice broken so that people don't get the wrong impression about us. Or maybe they should get the wrong impression about us. Whatever.

I sent that to my new roommates back in November because somehow a few of them got the idea that I wanted to murder them in their sleep. It cleared a lot of things up and made my life a little easier.

I actually found my way to the forums from intjcentral.com. I liked it enough that I thought I'd enjoy the forums so I came over, thanks DB.

Yea, I first came across *********** and thought there has to be an intjcentral, this is when I joined the forums.

The read was meant to be humorous, wasn't it? Thank you.

Edit: Oh wow, I did not know that phrase was censored.

Some other forum's name causes vortexes of evil to form, so it's censored

Holy Hell, I forgot that the members of this forum put that together. I actually cited it last week in a post.

I co-wrote this, along with Doppelbock (who edited and added/subtracted):

Q: My INTJ employee consistently strolls into work an hour late and leaves an hour late, every day. He/she seems to make their own hours, however the job gets done rather well. Should I feel disrespected?
A: Time is relative to the INTJ, and getting the job done right is paramount. We do not like wasting our time, so we will often adjust our schedules accordingly to miss AM and PM rush-hour traffic. The more traffic we miss, the more time we have for books, movies, video games, books, message boards, books, etc. You should feel disrespected, although it has nothing to do with them not honoring your work rules; it has to do with them not thinking you are particularly smart or competent. If you were smart/competent, you wouldn’t be going on about getting your wittle bitty feewings hurt by your disrespectful but high-performing INTJ employee.

My god, it’s a COOKBOOK! OK, not really. Actually I did happen on this site in my travels. There are few such beacons in the fog out there, you’ve done your fellow INTJs a public service and I tip my hat to you. At least I would if I had a hat.

I am, or rather, IE is unable to locate the Guide's address as posted here. Can anyone assist? I need to use this Compleat Guide; I work on a team of 5 ISFJ, which includes my boss.

They've grown accustomed to my scent, but get nervous when I start to move around.

I loved the guide, thanks! I think I'll send the link to my boss with a note as he's been confused about my work schedule for too long. He atleast deserves to know why we have different hours.

I send my thanks and appreciation for the guide; it taught me two things:

1) Those other people really are idiots (at least when it comes to INTJs) and

2) I am not an example of compleat insanity. I'll have to try to be even less normal now.
