The ending of A Tale of Two Cities.

Lisa Gerrard is a good one. I love listening to 'One Perfect Sunrise' mixed by Hybrid.
But for fiction: The Book of the New Sun by Gene Wolfe |

Don Quixote always kind of got to me... Probably because in a weird way it reminded me of my grandfather and his crazy obsession with windmills....
Another one that always haunts me and brings back memories of my grandfather is Sarah McLachlan's (sp?) Building a Mystery. |

That song should be titled "I have eyes for only you". That's what haunts me. Mis-titled songs.

The scene in the Exorcist...when the girl is tied to the bed. They then show her shadow moving about the room (outside window shot). You realize that the devil is just f@cking with them....brilliant.

The artist Nivbed used to have some old songs he's composed on his website. While they're more reminiscent of RPG background music than anything else, they really gave a distinct, atmospheric feel, and I keep imagining fantasy/surreal movie sequences and scenes over and over again every time I hear them. Good stuff. I have them on my iPod, but they're not on his website anymore...
(And while I'm at it, go check out his artwork, too. He's amazing.) |

The scene in "the insider"...where she is singing and RC's hotel room is spinning is great. Michael Mann is one of the best at music in his movies. |

The Drinking Den- read the crazy thing for a history class, and it just stays with me endlessly. It just seemed like she only made a couple of small, well-meant mistakes, and her life just sucked her down into the pit. Just a few degrees off each time, and she wound up miles away from heaven.
