This sentence from that site:

"I studied social psychology and human behavior for years to alter my personality and become a master of social manipulation and human interaction."

Wow, he must be an extrovert and a VERY happy human being full of meaningful and honest relationships in his life!! Of course Iīm being ironic...

If I was not being myself and would learn how to manipulate people, yes, of course I would be much more popular, lots of acquaintances (donīt call this friends, please), etc, etc. But that way I would be a different person and I would not have met and have a wonderful relationship with my fiancé, and also would not have met my closest, dearest and honest friends that I love so much. That REALLY makes me happy, would I change that in order to be the empty person heīs suggesting?! Donīt bullshit me.

And I understand so well the kind of person heīs trying to target: insecure and low self-esteem with low levels of self-confidence. And he wants to make people believe all introverts are like this, sitting in the back of the bus feeling sorry for themselves. Well, Martina Navratilova is an ITNJ and an introvert, and sorry, but I never saw her sitting in a dark corner feeling sorry for herself, I saw her winning Grand Slams!!

I feel sorry for him!

The presumption is that popularity and social approval are the most desirable goals a person can pursue--news to me.

Usually that kind of attitude is only when somebody is trying to sell you something. It's either "I have something you don't, you must suck" or "You suck because you don't have my product." So, no, he fails at manipulation.

EDIT: 777 posts! >.>

Inclined to agree. Although I want friends, its not really a big deal - certainly not big a deal enough to compromise who I am.

I feel so lowly, and despicable. If I weren't so bound by my insecurity and ineptitude I would rush right out an purchase his book.

The author has inspired me to attain new heights(?) of depravity and selfishness. From now on I will despise all of you losers and seek to attain the nirvana that is greed, narcissism and self-gratification. I will rise(?) above you all and amass sexual favors, fame, money and lasting admiration from those that appreciate my newfound greatness.

(Anyone have $29.99 they could lend me?)

Meh.

That would require me to care more than I already do about what this guy feels the need to talk about.

I want people to desperately seek my attention, pick me, pick me (or prick me, prick me).

Dang there's only lint in my couch cushions. Oh well, apparently I've already wasted my youth anyway, it's too late for me. The rest of you should save yourselves.

Exactly! Rwyatt and I are an example to you all of the sad, reclusive introvert you are going to become. By all that is holy, I beg you, don't let yourselves end up like us.

Hmm...

I read this website as being ironic in tone. I know that he's selling a product, but I took it all as though he was trying to be funny about it.

If I got the book I would expect the whole thing to be in a similar tone to be funny. Maybe it would have a chapter "get plastic surgery to make people love you". We all know that people actually do that kind of crap and maybe this guy is just making fun of / taking advantage of this.

Meh, I don't really care either way...

It's nice to see that some things don't change. Take, for example, the consistency of there always being some people who prefer to value popularity and fail to understand the pleasure that solitude can bring a well-adjusted individual. I like that, and I think it's good to know that there are people like that out there.

Least the guy could do is to tell us if we act now, we will get some Ginsu steak knives, the inside the egg shell scrambler, or some kind of cool toy.

Although, I could go take his 'lessons' to heart. Then go start my own cult / MLM scheme and sell people licenses to be a prick. With the appropriate uplines and other perks.

Or NOT.

"Pompous arrogant assholes for $2000.00 Alex."

This guy certainly got the "prick" part right. Imagine being so needy that you had to buy the book. Hmmm. Wait. The guy is probably a multi-millionaire. There's a statement about society.

Human manipulation has it's uses for INTJs! But that life sounds so boring, and I don't want to live for friends, sex, and money anyway.
