Sorry to throw all this out into the universe, but I'm feeling like I'm going to go postal.

I've been working my way from humble 'Coordinator' in a department, to 'Business Systems Analyst' which doesn't currently exist but is badly needed in my workplace. I have the aptitude and the skills, and more importantly, I -want- to do it.

I just found out today that the Admin Manager went to in fight for my case with the Principal and was told that he could start working on setting up the new position "... but don't change anything."

I'm devising actions in my head that would leave me fulfilled, and not much of a body for the authorities...

Hmmm, maybe the Principal just needs time to get used to the idea. You never know, he might come around, so don't implode just yet. Sounds like the Admin Manager is on your side at least.

I've cooled down and went back to the people I have convinced already... we are devising a new way of skinning said cat.

Said cat had me in the same position almost exactly a year ago. My proposal is timely and logical, damnit!
