I went to two proms. The first one was pretty boring and awful...and I looked amish because of my hair and the zoot suit. The second one was fun and much more relaxed, and I looked like a badass because of my kilt. I don't regret either because I learned from both experiences.

Mom forced me to go, had a date, was bored out of my freaking mind. Sad to say another day wasted by silly social traditions.

I didn't go to junior or senior prom. Nothing about prom attracted me, basically. And it's cool. For junior prom, my friend and I went out to eat with all of the prom people, then we went home and chilled. This year, two of my friends and I went swimming, played video games, watched tv, stuffed our faces with pizza and chips, and then played basketball in the middle of the night. It was way more fun than I would've had otherwise. I can't give you a definitive answer on how I'll feel about it in 20 years, but right now I'm totally cool with it. |

I never made it to prom. Because during my junior year I got more or less insulted by a teacher who wouldn't even acknowledge the possibility that the U.S.A. is an Oligarchy. (I stand by that statement to this day). So honestly I walked in to school the next day with my anti-establishment loving dad who was proud of my choice to drop out of school. There of course were other instances that spurred my reason for wanting to drop out. But by the time the senior prom for my grade came around the next year I had my G.E.D. and was enrolled in college. So since I never went to prom any of the previous years, I never went at all
