Cutting edges is obviously a necessity, and I'm totally okay with that.

I tried resizing some of these myself and failed miserably, so I COMPLETELY understand if they are just hopelessly at an awkward size (i.e. there's no way they could be an avatar).

Even if you can only do one of these, I'd greatly appreciate it! I don't know if you guys can get rid of the pesky writing in the first one either - but if that's possible and not totally time consuming, I'd be really grateful towards you for that, too. That first one might possibly be my favorite one, but I just feel that the writing makes it look kind of ghetto

BTW I'm currently working on a version of the first one with no text, although not sure how much I'll be able to do.

Holy guacamole, you are AMAZING nom4d!!! (And I like your username too )

Perhaps in the one with Mikan advocating with a megaphone could you cut off the megaphone a bit and show her pigtail(s)?

And then if you ever get around to the text removal one, could you put her more in the lower right side of the screen, rather than having her so centered?

If you lived in my town, I would treat you to Starbucks or lunch or ice cream or something as a thanks. Unfortunately you probably do not live close to me. So thank you from the bottom of my heart, they look great!

You ask and I shall deliver:

As for the one with the text, I can position her in the lower right-ish area but to do so would mean I'll have to scrap the existing background. If that's what you want me to do I can make it with a solid color, gradient/pattern, or another image. Either way, I'd appreciate some feedback as to what you are looking for because I am having no luck getting rid of that text while preserving the background image in any reasonable quality.

Alright, shopped the girl out of the rest of the image, was getting frustrated with trying to erase the text. Set her against a radial background in the lower right like you asked.

If you want the position/size adjusted or if you have a specific idea for the background reply with the relevant details.

I love the position. I need a sort of "down the rabbit hole" look for the background. You know, Alice in Wonderland-y. Or ethereal. Or just something that gives off an alternate dimension vibe.

Alright I'll keep looking, but its been tough to find any kind of any hole background without a large foreground piece obscuring it. If by any chance you have or find an image with a background you like post it here.

How do these strike you for ethereal/alternate-dimension?

I think you could use that same background for a Lemmiwinks avatar.

I really like the blue background, nom4d. Is there any way to make her stand out a bit more, like line her body more in black or something? The left side fades into the background somewhat, but the right is fine (I think it's because the background is a lighter color for part of the left side)

Grabbed a similar source image for the background and played with the saturation a bit, think the result has the 'pop' you are looking for.

I felt bad that I kept asking for things, so I edited it a bit myself.

Do you like? I might edit the shoe a bit, but it seems all right.

TBH anime isn't exactly my favorite subject matter, so I'm pretty much indifferent. Sorry you had to do it yourself and I wasn't more help but if you are happy then I'm happy.

No, I just felt bad for being so picky, I wasn't trying to be ungrateful. I appreciate your help, especially since the subject matter isn't your preference.

Why don't you like anime/working on anime?

I'm not the biggest anime aficionado either, but the main character is kind of symbolically linked to my Alice in Wonderland theme. Plus she's an ENFP and very adorable.

I don't mind working on anime/whatever, just that I am not a big anime fan was all I was saying. Don't mind you 'being picky', if it's going to be your avatar only makes sense that you should like it.
