20,900, pretty shitty

There were over a dozen words I've probably never seen before, and there were several others I recognized but couldn't define.

Which is kind of good because I never had extra English classes in my life so I learned on my own... And English is my second language so...

Close enough.

17 300... with English as third language and me not reading much books at all lately - English ones even less -, sounds fair.

I donīt really know if it is that large. English is my 4th language.
I did read several fantasy books in English though. They helped me learn some uncommon words.

20,700 words.
Well, english may be my second language and I would at least have studied it for about 11 years, I expected a lot better of myself.

Though it would help if I have seen some of the words I didn't know on that list used more often...

The test is obviously a bit skewed toward the older generation (who actually read the classics) and I doubt the younger generation would do the same kinds of reading. If the same test were given 10 years from now, I predict that the mean scores would drop since the words on the test wouldn't even be a part of the new generation's vocabulary. However, txtng wud b along with a lot of technical words related to technology.

Same. I'm embarrassed by my lack of vocabulary. Keep telling myself that my mind took over that part to make me better at math/science.

SAT: (800math / 510ver)
GRE: (800math / 530ver)

I just need to read more. No excuse.

There are so many weird words, and I only use English on the internet forums.

Quite low since most people have told me I have a native English speaker fluidity. I know I can read books and watch movies without problem, so either this test isn't very accurate or the media available in English uses a very simple language.
