I'd pay Stephen Schwarzman for 8 minutes and 53 seconds of his time, based upon his earnings as CEO of Blackstone Group in 2009.

I figure 8 minutes and 53 seconds of time from anyone so worthy would have an incalculable positive impact on my life and that of my children/grandchildren.

Save.

If you're going to save, make sure you're saving in a currency that isn't losing half it's value every 10 years like the USD. Try gold instead.

I would just put it down on my mortgage, figuring it would lower my payment enough that I would just have my budget opened up and be able to do more things in general that I can't do now.

wait, are you recommending the USD or are you advising against it? sorry for being such a klutz (my father keeps saying i need to focus less on gold and open a foreign currency account because it's been a while since the Asian economy went down and could happen again soon). the OP is in the US (i think).

I'd buy my own truck. Something about all the challenges and possible rewards that draws me. Its very much a math game, and its possible to make a six figure income pretty easily. Most owner operators make about 10-15% more than a company driver, without using any math at all. They simply pay their bills and keep their truck running. If you do the math, it becomes apparent which kinds of runs make the most money. Its completely contrary to popular belief of owner operators.
