I designed an MBTI personality test and I'm working on the wording of the questions so that it leaves minimum room for inaccurate interpretations.

Have you made it truly fool-proof?

Q:You prefer speaking honestly towards others even if it causes conflict.

No, becuase I´m strategic and the direct way is far too hard. Lying to my enemies and finding a shortcut for my goal.

Conclusion: The question is too vague

Q:You focus more on the issues than people.

Again too vague! I focus on both (Te and Fi in the middle)

Q:You are sensitive and easily hurt.

Thats not completly MBTI related.

Q:What you say is more important than how you say it.

Too confusing and without context.

Q:You can handle conflict well.

WTF is that? F or T not in the slightest - this is too superficial

Q:You finish things you start.

It depends.

Some questions that might be dubious:
"You usually show empathy towards others."
People answer "no" to that??????

Yes I did.

I´m honest and it is stupid to answer a personality test other than that.

You should ask the Testtakers if they perceive their environment as safe or dangerous and put this into account for the following questions.

Actually most tests give me INTJ, but on the step 2 of MBTI I have mixed subcategories on J/P.

I would agree that being alone makes it easier to think, but I wouldn't call it necessary. I can think sufficiently well under most situations. But I think everyone finds it easier, including extroverts.

So the goal is to reword the question in such a way that most extroverts would say no and most introverts would say yes. Any ideas?

LOL, panda, when I read your posts... and I mean ALL of the posts I've read, you give me a STRONG INTP vibe. Is your J low?

Anyway, to answer your question. No it is not yet fool-proof. I want to reword the questions as best as possible, have people take it and get their feedback. Then I'll probably add some questions to improve the test accuracy.

Zero, reading your thoughts on the questions themselves is very helpful. I actually have big issues with the F/T questions myself. They bother me the most. Any specific suggestions on wording changes to get the same answers but make more sense?

Feeling types are generally sensitive and easily hurt and they don't like conflict. All the F types have their methods of avoiding conflict.

And lastly, what do you mean by asking test takers if they perceive their environment as safe or dangerous? you mean to add that as a question?

A feeler would never think that s/he is less logical than a thinker or vice versa.

For Example: Do you prefer a impersonal or a personal approach to your work? something like that

Thats not completely true, Fe-doms for example are forcing their ideal on others. Fi-doms may hate conflict but they are not reserved enough to stay quiet about their viewpoints. Also sensitivity is not only a type issue, it is more a intelligence issue. Their "sensitivity" is only more powerful on the outside. You can´t ask them obvious questions, like you said they avoid them

Yeah if I perceive my enviroment as safe I am less strategic and more open. Maybe this is just a Enneagram thing
