Lets assume that instead of inferior functions simply being "BAD", they have a nature that can help provide benefits and/or challenges depending on the situation.

Which inferior function would you rather have, if it was possible, and why?

Assume that all your other functions and their preference places remain the same and somehow you can function in a fairly normal and reasonably healthy manner. (INTJs with main Ni and inferior Ni... not sure how that would turn out...)

Perhaps our understanding of the inferior functions is inadequate, or perhaps we will be surprised. There is one way to help find out.

I could use more Se. Probably better for motivation, and taking in more immediate data would also be useful.

Te--then using even tiny amounts of it wouldn't stress me out so much.

If I said Se it would be boring. I'm tempted to say Fi, although I do like Fi when its done right.

I think my Fi is dying a slow death because I've chosen not to care about it anymore.

I'll stay with Se because otherwise I wouldn't have any sensing function at all.

Or am I not understanding this right?

None, preferring to be cut off at the emotional knees.

I voted Si. But I'm satisfied with my lack of Se ¬¬

I'd never vote for Ns, Ts or Fs.
Actually, I'd like to be more Fi & Fe developed. I guess I'm doing well with my dominant and secondary functions. I think I'm understanding that Fi is really my tertiary function...

I'd like to be more connected to some people, but it's hard. Sometimes they tell me their problems and I don't know what to say. I'm a good listener, but I know I could help them more.
It's sad when the person really matters

NFs, have I ever said how much I love you? Know this. I'm "glad" for being a NT, I just would like to be more Fi & Fe developed.

I like inferior Fi as it is. As much as I would appreciate Se/Si so that I can remember details better, Fi allows me to put myself in someone else's shoes and understand how the person is feeling.

Having an inferior Se is fun at times and allows me to live in the moment, however Si would helpful when dealing with facts and details. My current lack of Si is very painful when trying to remember extensive amounts of information.
