With technology gaining ground day by day there are many unanswered questions that we will have to deal with. I believe that someday cognitive enchantments will allow some to gain extraordinary ability's. But what would happen if this technology falls into the wrong hands. Please look at this link then add to the discussion.

It's not "if" but "when." All technology "falls into the wrong hands" eventually.

Hopefully the effects won't be too bad. So far we seem to be okay because the number of people using the technology for good have generally offset the number using it for bad. Although, I suppose that will always be the case, since the majority gets to decide what is good. Instead, replace "good" with "constructive" and "bad" with "destructive."

I have thought this 'revolution' has been coming for a while. If you look at linquistics and sales there are certain words that get buyers into hypnotic states, increasing sales of those who use them. When you are trying to influence others NLP is pretty prominent. Matching, mirroring, ordering syntax, talking in the mode most appropriate modality, etc. The ability to read someone's eyes or facial expressions and know what is truly going on in their heads. Right now there are some people who have these skills and do not realize how they do what they do and as these things are being broke down and sorted out more and more people will acquire them. The case of the haves and the have nots could potentially explode as these sciences become more mainstream. Some science will pan out to be valid and others will be rejected and the process will continue on. The sad thing is that it may not be able to be controlled.
