I am thinking of starting an INTJ meetup group in san francisco bay area.

For those of you who are not familiar, meetup is an online social networking portal that allows people to organize offline group meetings.

The INFJs have a group of their own and I am very jealous! I have a couple concerns though. Us INTJs are not particularly sociable. I wonder how many of us are actually interested in meeting people (face to face!) with similar personality and mindset. If there's an INTJ group in your area would you join?

What would be some good activities for this group? intelligent conversations over dinner/lunch/coffee? or just fun activities like museum visits, bbq, hiking, sports, etc?

I might go if it were at a place I was already going to. Maybe. *grump*

Once you get up to 15 posts I encourage you to go to the member's only area, we have a few meet up posts for specific geographical areas

I can't imagine a meetup group being that interesting. We all like to think not talk. I work with another INTJ but I rarely talk to him because neither of us talk much.

I'm envisioning it right now. We could read books at each other. And then stare. Then, we could contemplate conversation. Next time.

Sorry, my ESxP partner is egging me on. Count me in, maybe.

I guess I am "capable" of being a somewhat talkative INTJ......but not too much, so not.

Three questions:

1) Will there be snacks?

2) Is it okay if we end up working together toward world domination? It may come up.

3) If several INTJ's physically meld together to form one super-INTJ, will the resulting super-INTJ get a single share of the snacks or one share per person who contributed to the final form? Because I like to snack at meetings...and I don't want to have to give up an unfair percentage of the snacks just because one member of our group can claim a multitude of prior-existence stomachs.

I would join. I'd be way curious about everyone else.

If I were organizing a meetup, I'd try to organize activities like volunteering with Habitat for Humanity or a stream clean up or something. That way I'd feel good about being there even if I didn't like any of you

Or, I'd come up with a project. Like "hey let's design a city, bring your LEGOs"

I knew that a Madboy such as yourself could not possibly live in Teh Shiznit which is the East Bay.

I have almost all of the Castle Lego sets, is it okay if we design a few fortresses in our city? I also have pirates and my parents insisted on getting me the complete Paradisa sets of girly pink Lego with dolphins. Hm. This could be a really interesting place...

I'm possibly interested. It would have to involve little to no walking since I'm a crip, but don't let that stop you from selecting some activity. There would be plenty to talk about with such a group. People just need to learn how to fish for the issues that interest others and things will roll from there...
