i just sketch with plain old pencil. When I do color, I like using colored pencils, markers (nice ones for art), and the computer.
I haven't managed to scan anything good for a long while (away at college) but here's type of stuff I do:

mostly it's anime style. I draw principally to brainstorm ideas for my stories. I like to have a visual of what my characters look like so that I can better picture them in the situations I write.

Drawing is really cathartic hobby for me, which is sort of a problem, because working to "get better" in the traditional sense can take away from that enjoyment. I'm finding the only way to keep going now is to indulge myself with the subject matter, completely uninhibited, without trying to be skillful and artist-like. The results are embarrassing and eccentric enough that I won't be trying to make a career out of it, unless I have an extremely specific niche with guaranteed obscurity. I still debate weither I should ever share this stuff, or just keep it stuffed in a drawer somewhere whilst I go on pretending traditional realism is the only thing I'm about.

Honestly, I'm afraid to keep going... I already share too many sensibilities with furries and weirdos. It's kind of a piss off knowing I have the ability to master more acceptable things, but seem to be shirking all of that in favor of what can easily becomes cartoon porn.

I blame Picasso.

My tools of the trade: pencils, ballpoint pens, brush pens, pencil crayons, MS Paint, and Photoshop for coloring. My process nowadays is basically working in layers, from general to specific, only interested in using lines, only shading with minimal crosshatching if at all. Most of my studies are aided with Bridgman, copying artists I admire (cartoonists mostly), and loosely sketching my surroundings.

I'm not much of a storyteller, but I want to be.

You just made my day. Congratulations, sir.
