Hiya, I'm a 23 year old girl from Melbourne, Australia and I'm drinking flavored water (yummy lime) and resisting the urge to add a "u" to the word "flavor".

Just discovered this forum, I was in shock for all of three minutes discovering this place existed when it hit me - well, how else would we meet? We're introverts!

College drop out (psychology then marketing major) and I'm currently working on being a writer, though I could see myself going back to school, but no rush.

Realized I was INTJ when I was 16 during psych class but I didn't really pay much attention minus jotting down notes and reading into Enneagram but that's about it for personality types... until today when I took an online test and the results, basically fit me to a T.
Which was surprising, but nice all the same.

So, that's me. Laters.

Welcome, raygun!

What are you trying to write? Fiction? Genre?

If you're sticking around, you can check out the rules here, and a great thread about using all the neat forum features is here.

Please, enjoy!

Welcome to the forum raygun. I look forward to reading future posts. Get involved and keep an eye out for Monte, he will insist you give him licorice.

Welcome, raygun. By all means, do not drop the 'u' from flavour, else we Canadians will get offended!

I went back to school at 31 so there's LOTS of time!

Welcome. I live in Melbourne, too! But I've never been to Australia.

I don't "insist" on licorice; I "require" it. There's a world of difference.

OK, up against the wall...

I'm attempting to write fiction, taking a break from essays. Not exactly sure what to label the project I've started, I've been calling it a relationship novel albeit an odd one.

welcome welcome. There is some Canadians here and we do like the U, so please keep it :P

If you can, try to get a genre early on. This is because when you try to publish, the publisher needs to have some idea what audience they are marketing to.

There are lots people hoping to write here. I'm sure you'll find this to be an inspirational place.

Aah, Melbourne, Floria - I've heard tale about this bizarro Melbourne but like you, never visited the other.

(Melbourne is a delightful name for a city, but point of useless trivia, when it came down to naming this city - it was a toss up between Melbourne and naming the city after the state's founder; John Batman.)

How come licorice? I guess it's a candy of multiple uses; snack, or potential braided rope for an escape plot.

Multiple uses indeed! Don't forget straw and whip.

Welcome, raygun. How's the weather down there?*

I prefer to know how many kills you have to your credit, but I try not to be rude.

Hiya, raygun. Good luck with the writing. If it is what you are meant to do, you can't do anything else. Unless you would starve otherwise...

Welcome raygun. We're always glad to have another Aussie amongst us (we have to say that, otherwise Elfrun will kill us all. If you don't know who that is...you'll find out soon enough).
