I quickly realized there's no freakin' way that I can do some truly great breakfast cereals justice in this poll.

And of course, there is no way I can cover all of the variations/iterations of a particular brand. If you like Guacamole Rice Krispies, then select just Rice Krispies. Likewise, if Wasabi Lucky Charms is your thing, then select just Lucky Charms.

The preparation of food is an inconvenience to my otherwise productive day.

Currently I have 1/3cup of Alpin cereal with rice milk. Every day. Have done so for probably eight years now. Did spoon-size Shredded Wheat every day for about 20 years prior. Boring, I know.

I voted but I haven't eaten said cereal in over ten years.. I just don't do cereal anymore. If I were to eat a cereal to bring back a nostalgic moment or something then I'd go for sugar crisp.

Hmm, what kid's cereal DIDN'T I eat back in the day? I think I was fairly partial to Golden Grahams, but there were plenty of others that I'd eat and spring from the walls until lunchtime.

Our parents would not let us eat the sugary stuff, so we were shredded wheat / grape nuts / cheerios only.

I did, however. somehow end up with a plush Tony the Tiger at some point... dunno how that figured in...

I had the same situation with my parents. The irony is that I had to spread a spoonful of sugar over my Cheerios/Grape Nuts to make it more palatable...

HoneyNut Cheerios WITH (and this is important) Rice Crispies. The rice crispies would fit right into the hole, and I'm fairly sure was imagining little life preservers in this sea of milk, with little crispie drowning vics...

OK, I was a KID.

I used to love Frosted Flakes due to their moderate, but not severe, sugar content. Now that is simply too much for me and in the rare occasion that I have cereal, I'll have regular Cheerios.

Yes, I understand to most people that the aforementioned cereal is boring, but hey, it's healthy.

I loved just about all of them. Let's see - my very favorites were probably Apple Jacks, Fruit Loops, Captain Crunch and Lucky Charms. I couldn't possibly choose just one.

Mini-wheats for me. When they came out with the kind with strawberry in the middle, I ate them like candy.

Apple Jacks all the way baby! Every morning, and hell be to my mother if I ran out.

I loved to drink the apply-sweet milk from the bowl afterwards. YUMM!

Fruity Pebbles, probably. I liked many cereals, such as Apple Jacks, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Frosted Shredded Wheat, Cookie Crisp, etc., but you can't beat the Flintstones cereal.

I was a Fruit Loops devotee.

Can someone knowledgable in physics explain the principle behind the phenomenon of cheeriomagnetization? You know, the way the last few pieces of cereal seem to cluster together at the surface.

I used to love grape nuts but I used way more than a teaspoon of sugar on them. My mom gave up and stopped buying cereal.
