Hello,

Yes, I've got nothing better to say than "hello" (not that that's all that bad), but I wanted to say something other than "hello" in my title. So, "Let's Dance Little Pookie" is the title of a board book I'm giving to a new addition to this world and I thought it sounded snappy (also, very quick read, will pick you up; I recommend it (also, The Little Prince)).

In any event, I'm here and would like to join the community.

I type strongly INTJ and, as you all know well, that makes me a fish out of water.

I "pass" very well in situations, but not without a draining effort on my part.

I've learned after 33 years on this Earth that "passing" helps you advance (at least in my field, the law), but makes you feel really damn lonely. The lonely part kicks in because, in order to pass, you're playing a role rather than being yourself. So, doing that, I've made friends over the years, but have felt more and more and more disconnected.

At bottom, I'm tired and lonely and am hoping this board can fix some of that.

FWIW, I've lurked here for about a month or so, and there are some strong members of the community that are doing more good than they know.

Noo, no more dancing.... Must resist dancing....

Hey I'm one of those that doesn't like to put much effort into something if my heart isn't really into it... Just enough to get me by! =P

Welcome to the forum. Yes, playing "the game" and fitting in is tiresome and makes one realize that they are more dissociated from the rest of the world as each day passes. Come here to revitalize and recouperate.

BTW - if I see Little Pookie, I'll tell him/her you're looking for him/her.
