Hi,
I am new to this forum, although I've been browsing it for a while. I am 26-years-old and live in the Netherlands. My Myers-Briggs type is INTJ, enneagram type five, so I'm a total head case. I am a mental institution inmate and I don't care if that makes you think I'm crazy. I am passionate about social justice, mental health and disability rights advocacy. My occupation, apart from being a patient, is studying psychology through distance education. I don't take personality typing too seriously, but thought this forum was cool anyway. |

Welcome CG.
I don't think you're crazy. And if you actually are, that's okay too. But since you've been so generous as to tell us your situation, perhaps you won't mind my asking as to how and why you got to be in such a place? |

Well, I don't think the details are relevant, but like most people who end up in psych plaes, I was in a psychiatric crisis in 2007. Due to a combination of my mental health conditions, other disabilities and the way the system works in the Netherlands, I have not been able to find appropriate outpatient support so far, so am still here (albeit on not too restrictive a ward). |

Thanks Cooper and Panda for the welcomes. I thought indeed this fourm was cool. I once read some MBTI geek say that among IN types, the INFP are warm on the outside and warm on the inside, INFJ are warm on the inside but cool on the outside, INTP are cool on the inside and warm on the outside (or it could be INFJ and INTP are reversed) and INTJ are cool on the inside and on the outside. So I thought I figured this forum would be pretty literally cool.
(I apologize fo rnot having the reference to that theory I just spit out.) |

Welcome from one of the local ENFP's. I like your description of the types, although I think (secretly) that INTJ's have a little warm fuzzy inside them, they just don't know it until they get older (when that tertiary Fi kicks in) Ok, warm fuzzy is a bad descriptor, how about a caring individual who has, over time, grown into a confused acceptance of their emotional landscape?
What sort of social justice are you passionate about? You are a welcome addition to the motley crew of characters that comprise the forum. |

Welcome. We are not cool. That's why we're the best. Take my head, for instance. It's a case. An assortment of disorders. Bipolar is the flagship. I'm a chronic outpatient.

I had no idea you could actually go online in a mental ward. The two friends I know that have been in them told me it was a complete and utter lockdown kind of place.
