Well, here we go again, another thread about some ho-hum and nonsense.

Fi users tend to be more reserved when a picture is being taken of them. Are they the ones who constantly try to use their hands to cover their face? If they had to take a picture with a group, would the smile or just look awkward, and smile? I noticed in most of my pictures I have a grand smile, going from cheek to cheek, and something odd always with the rest of my face. Fe users have a cartoonish look whenever they are being pictured, but how about Fi users?

Not covering my face. I typically don't smile unless I'm already smiling because I'm in a good mood for some reason.

I don't look cartoonish when I smile. I have noticed that Fi users smile with half their face--their eyes don't "smile".

The INTJ's I have had photos with, their smile appears quite forced if there is one. When I smile I am told my eyes are smiling with me.

I've always hated taking photos.
At first I try to put on a fake smile, but that doesn't work.
Then I think of something funny and I make myself laugh. It's just when I have to hold my facial expression/thoughts is where it just goes... wrong.

Fi users don't typically smile with the top half of their faces; hence the constant INTJ death-stare. They usually can't even smile with their eyes when they want to, which is where you get the occasional awkward smiles. If a Fe user forces a smile, he can fake it enough to pass it off as genuine, but not so much the forced smile of a Fi user (and really, when someone is taking your picture, how often is that smile going to actually be genuine unless it's completely candid? nobody really likes getting their pictures taken, especially introverts). They're called facial "expressions" for a reason-- as they "express" emotion, which is an extroverted action.

Fi-users: INFP, ISFP, ENFP, ESFP, INTJ, ISTJ, ENTJ, ESTJ. Not so sure that the other 7 types are more reserved when a picture is taken of them, especially ESFPs, who are performers.

Are you sure you aren't talking specifically about INTJs?

This is exactly my question! All the Fi users, especially the bubbly ENFP and the outgoing ESFP, wouldn't their smiles be stretching from cheek to cheek and their whole face gleaming with happiness?

Yes I despise having my photo taken! I most likely fake it better than an Fi user. It is probably best to observe smiles (if you know someone's type) in a natural setting, preferably without cameras if introverts are about. When my husband (INTJ) does have a genuine smile his eyes are smiling too. He does have a straight face most of the time, but at the right moment for him he can have a great smile. I think extroverts may be easy to spot regardless. I think they are definitely stretching from cheek to cheek most of the time. Next life I am coming back as one of them for sure!

Yes.

As an ENFP my face gets me in a LOT of trouble. It always give more away than I want it to.

I've been told I look angry and distant in photos. I have very sharp looking eyebrows. Combine that with the default death stare and being uncomfortable when someone takes my picture and angry looking dude is what you get.

Haha, as a Fi user I smile a lot but I'm not sure. There's something you notice in the eyes of Fe users that are hidden in Fi users. I think there's an outwardly open and transforming look in the eyes of Fe users that is a bit more steady in Fi users.

The i's have it. Fi eyes seem to always have a look to them whereby the person is sitting almost behind their face controlling it as a puppeteer would. My ISFP and ISTJ friends smile with only the lower half of their faces; their eyes remain steady and private.

All Fe users I know have eyes that crinkle and twinkle; A kind of warm star quality. I wish I could describe it better but I can't. Fe eyes just seem softer and more gooey.

Yes, all of the ENFP's I know smile with all parts of their faces, especially the eyes. All the ones I know have a distant sparkley mirthy look in their eyes when they laugh - sort of that faraway look we get when Ne is engaged...but laughing.

ESFP's are enchanting when they laugh, it's very contagious for some reason...I think because they look at you right in the eye (Se maybe?) to see if you're laughing too, which always makes me laugh.

I completely agree with this.

INTJ's and ENTJ's tend to not show mirth in their eyes when they are laughing.....however, you can always tell when they find something funny because they get a certain glint in their eyes, but you have to know them really well to recognize it. (in my experience, by no means a golden rule or anything)

I have this same problem. I have semi-Vulcan eyebrows and my face that I wear 95% of the time I have been told "is like looking into their souls". It's not my fault! I just relax all the muscles in my face and don't walk around town grinning like a buffoon.
