I don't think I've ever seen a music video that so perfectly captures what it means to be the exact opposite of an INTJ.

Hmm. I'd guess you're focusing on the cloyingly sugary upbeatness, and I agree that's kind of offputting. But if I was going to pick an opposite-of-INTJ music video, I'd be more inclined to pick one where the players look fashion-obsessed and give off a cooler-than-thou vibe.
As between the two, I'd feel much less out of place hanging with the more dorky/authentic-looking people in your posted video. I suspect your aversion to that video had more to do with the suckiness of the song than the video as a whole. |

I think it was a combination of:
* everyone always dances with their arms in the air...always * constantly repeating "it's always a good time" * the strong implication that the protagonist (lyrics) simply decided to wander off and "get down" because they felt like it * no adult is that excited by a marshmallow catching on fire * inescapable connotations of irresponsibility due to the fact that all the justifications are emotional or left out * everyone in the video has a "high on life" grin plastered on their face the entire time * halfway through the song they crank the heartbeat up to 10 and do nothing but remind you that it is, in fact, always a good time * someone brought a giant butterfly on a stick There's nothing wrong with the video. It's just the exact opposite of INTJ characteristics like getting tired when you're around a lot of people waving their arms, understanding things internally, thinking instead of feeling, and arriving at well-reasoned conclusions. I don't think any INTJ in the history of ever has been the one to come up with the idea that someone should bring a giant butterfly on a stick with them on a road trip just so they can stroll through the wilderness holding a giant butterfly on a stick. |

Another kind of video that would feel a lot more non-INTJ to me than the one you posted would be one with a bunch of young folks going to a stadium and the music blasts away while their team scores touchdowns and they get ecstatic and pump their fists in the air and hug each other. I'd much rather be in the woods dancing around a bonfire with a hippie chick with a butterfly on a stick myself.
I applaud your dislike of marshmallows, though. |

I kinda dig it, actually. Then again, I frequently have bonfires and friends around--in the summer and winter both. Marshmallows, too--though you'll never see me eat one.

Is this what it means to be an INTJ? |
