This is some what of an interesting topic. I've never received any advice on this when I was growing up. Just over heard other peoples opinions.. "shaving is gay.." etc. which is why I don't shave very much, but trim instead. Even though I don't like hair on my body.

However, interestingly the gay guy was saying he doesn't like guys who shave, he likes some manly hair.. LOL. For lack of a better plan I'll continue doing what I'm doing.

For the guys; do you make any effort to groom your body hair? If so, what do you do?

I only trim my genitals and armipts. I am not very hairy, so I think it's enough. If I could choose, I'd be more hairy.

For the ladies or gay guys; what is your ideal level of hairiness on you ideal man? Any representative samples?

Hairy. Of course, trimmed down... I don't wanna see a forest there. And I prefer the back shaved.
Hairy legs are so hot...

I see no problem in shaving, but I just don't like it. Some people like, I don't.

Pics for you:

- Back hair must go, nobody likes it.
- Groin area, trim, visually it gives you an extra inch. Don't shave it unless you work in the adult film industry.
- Balls, shave them, as a courtesy to the people that will be working in the area.
- Everything else is a matter of personal style.

I use my Norelco body groomer for my legs/arms and my nether regions. I use a razor for my arm pits, stomach and my chest. Most of my chest is tattooed and hair there doesn't look good. Having no hair looks better and is cleaner.

I am a hairy beast by nature. I had three rounds of laser hair removal surgery on my back, thinned the forest down a bit, and then get it waxed every once in a while when the opportunity presents itself. It doesn't need to be bare back there, just less mammoth-like. Beyond that, the man region... I just trim it down with scissors every couple of weeks or so when it gets unruly.

As far as it goes for others, I can't really say for sure. It depends on the person. Some guys I appreciate the hair, others, oh hell no. Hairless sometimes strikes me as resembling pre-pubescence. At least a happy trail, damn. Shall we say there is a body hair qquantity goldilock's zone?

I am a New York Italian with the body hair to follow the stereotype. Depends on the time of year for me - in the winter, I go largely au naturale except for keeping the face and the giggle stick well-manicured. In the summer, when I lean out to 8-9% body fat, I shave myself head-to-toe. I have to maintain the shave daily, and it takes about 20-25 minutes to shave myself from the neck down (bald as the day I was born). The upkeep is rigorous, and I've learned to shave places I never thought I would... but the girls love it.

That payoff is well worth the effort.
