An "island" of brown rice and black beans with garlic, onions, zucchini and tomato surrounded by a "sea" of butternut squash puréed with sesame paste (tahini).

I'm heading into the kitchen soon to prepare an American standard: ribeye steaks seasoned with sea salt and herbs, jumbo baked potatoes with butter and sour cream, steamed asparagus on the side, and a nice romaine salad with cucumber and vine ripened backyard tomatoes. For dessert, pie. Key Lime pie. Hah!

The only thing missing: we don't have a grill. But I have a quick-broil method that works very well. Put the rack on the highest position in the oven, put the broiling pan on the rack and heat it, then put the steaks on and flip once or twice. Only takes 5-8 minutes depending on how rare you like your steak. I like it extra rare, limp on the fork.

I'll wash it down with Old Milwaukee non-alcoholic beer. I don't drink anymore.
