From http://intjforum.com/showthread.php?...t=#post2604175

Zodd and the rest of ya'll that posted in this sub-forum,

I owe you. While skimming through all the music interests and responses I came to the realization that my musical taste varies vastly from many of you. It got me thinking, how could this be? I do understand that not all INTJ's will have the exact same taste in music as I, but what could cause my taste in music to be so significantly different? I do have good knowledge of the personality types not just INTJ, and have noted that while I almost always test as INTJ (I've taken the test many times, many ways) that I have more in common with many INFJ's (a la Marilyn Manson, Edward Norton). Which brought me to http://some other forum.com/infj-for...-syndrome.html I do have an official diagnosis of Asperger's. Now while this is not definitive, I think I may be INFJ rather than INTJ (INFJ is the only other type I have ever typed as). So, thank you.

BTW, my avatar is my great grandfather, assistant surgeon general for the blacks during the civil war.

Yeah most likely I am on crack. But here it goes. The final debate. As I've stated many times I always test as INTJ; probably due to the fact that I have a very judging refrigerator mother, and a judging step father (MBTI ESTJ, ISFJ respectively), and I am a clinically diagnosed aspie. As stated in my last post I came to the conclusion that I was not an INTJ because of the difference in music flavor in general among the INTJ and INFJ; which I contribute to the difference of Fe and Te. But after spending a couple of weeks on the "some other forum" (lol) I came to the realization that I was definitely not an INFJ. Now I know I said some pretty harsh things about INTPs in my intial post but that was because I was going off experience, and at the time thought I was an INTJ so thought my polar opposite would be the INTP (and as I said, by going off experience compared that type to some people I know... thinking to myself if I am an INTJ then they must be INTPs, now of course my reasoning was not as superficial as I am making it sound, but would have to write a book to state everything). So, you probably guessed it: I am now settled on the fact that I am an INTP; which I think if you read from my introduction to current post you can see how I "play" with the ideas of being a certain type, and while committing to a type I do not etch it in stone "but I am about ready to pull out my chisel". Plus I am a quite eccentric in a nutty, stand on the tables and shout F off to the patrons and bar tenders type way. Also, according to MBTI theory and my own logic and reasoning I've always thought I was a bit too spontaneous to be a judger (e.g. like not planning my routes when going on a trip, but just going the direction I feel like at the time). Plus I do not suffer from face-blindness which is a common (though not always) problem for INTJs, due to them having Ni instead of Si. I love all of you. (..and just a side thought, though not a determining factor, because I do realize it is a television show, played by actors... most people consider Sheldon to be INTJ (which I now agree with) but I don't think I could stand to be in the same room as him (also, I do believe that he is probably an INTJ in real life). I am very spatial oriented, and extremely quick when it comes to Lumosity shapes, with 100% on speed, and a 1545 BPI overall (which is an INTP quality, quickness).

i liked the bits where you talked plain english...

i think being "eccentric" is a given. i've been known to do random things like chomp on leaves on a small tree when walking with a gal pal and then having to spit them out because leaves taste much yuckier than you'd expect.

i also yelled out "hey! someone change the channel already!" once whentheaters started running commercials

Yes, Branitt, your posts do seem a bit long and introspective for the typical INTJ. But that doesn't mean we wouldn't eat your brain given the chance...

I can respect that. Though I am not sure my brains would be as tasty as Ray Liotta's. Insects do seem to like me, I have bites all over my ankles and wrists.

I can relate to that. If I ever become rich I will buy add space on the big screen and play reruns of Sesame Street. (Of course with permission from PBS first.)
