Back in the mid-1990's I was downtown with my then boyfriend. We went into a clothing store that was being run by a 'skinhead' type guy (mohawk, DocMartens, chains, piercings, tattoos, etc..). He was exceedingly polite, genteel, and well-mannered. This in itself was incongruously funny enough as it was. However, he was also playing loud music. This music was of a 'heavy metal' type, and the singer kept saying/singing/yelling "I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU SAY--FUCK YOU!! I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU SAY--FUCK YOU!!'. Then another song came on. The chorus went (as far as we could tell) '(NOISENOISENOISENOISENOISENOISE) YOUR'E A FUCKING ASSHOLE!!' Over and over. I put 'noise' because I couldn't make out what he was yelling before saying "you're a fucking asshole!" My boyfriend and I thought it was hilarious, and we always regretted not asking the guy what group that was, so that we could buy the CD. Of course what made it even funnier was his appearance combined with his demeanor. I couldn't forget that guy.

You mean punk. Skinheads are neo-nazis.

Unbelievably empowering: it washes the anger from your soul like HydroFlouric Acid eating a hole through a glass tabletop...

Am I the only one who seeks calming music?

I typically go with Bill Withers - Kissin' My Love.

Anger is something that I try to avoid and move away from as fast as possible.

Clashing an irritated mood with calming music is EXTREMELY IRRITATING.

You just want to grab Perry Como or whomever it is that won't shut the fuck up by the throat and show him what edged weapons taste like.

"Gone Away" by The Offspring is a good song for releasing angry energy.

Bones begin to break, smash your fuckin' face
Beaten, you plead to live
Born to mutilate, live to desecrate, die, I will kill again
Adrenaline rush, pumping through my veins, boiling in my blood
Methodically, this hunt has just begun!
