I had the best job today. At a Thanksgiving dinner, I volunteered serving people a chard/brocili concoction. People would come to me along a line with plates and I'd say "Chard?!" or "Want some chard?!" or, in some cases when they scowled at the sight of it, I'd say: "We both know you want some chard... " And I'd wave the serving spoon around with a big grin. XD One person said: "I like you, but not the chard."
Something about serving such a seemingly gross food is just so much fun! Oh the looks on their faces! :o I was jubilant the whole time. How was yours? |

I spent most of my time at home online online, but my dad thought the restaurants would be all busy and dragged me out of the house to go eat, then was surprised when the restaurants were all closed. He then proceeded to drive through town with no particular strategy, wasting more gas than necessary, and when we finally did find an open restaurant it was [insert name of mexican restaurant here], which i don't like. Still, he insisted that we went there even though i just wanted some stew from the grocery store. I just got a grilled cheese and fries because otherwise there'd have been be a long list of toppings i don't want on my taco which they'd get wrong. It was okay, not great, but apparently better than my dad's enchilada, which he only ate half of. Then there was no stew at the grocery store, but I got my cheesecake and a key lime parfait with a folding spork. but then he forgot that the gas station was closed so we had to circle back to the grocery store to get cigarettes before we could go home.

I had a great thanksgiving. I spent it cooking and posting. The turkey came out moist and flavorful, I tried a Cajun butter injection marinade, brilliant! The cat was going crazy running up and down the stairs because of the smells. The stuffing and all the fixings' turned out nice. Lots of left overs.

I sat here at Mother's as campus dining is closed, paced around while brooding and waiting for nothing as usual, and looked over my class web sites noting apparently yet more homework that's apparently due the day after I get back.

We're doing ours on Sunday.
I guess I've spent most of the day online. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. |

I spent my first Thanksgiving away from my family. Earlier today it was stressful because I have a cold and miss my family intensely. Being away from them on a holiday makes me nostalgic and having a cold makes my eyes water. This eventually leads to actual tears and thoughts of, 'What the junk?! Why did I start crying? I didn't want to cry. Ah great, now my nose is running again.'
Over all though it was okay. I'll be drinking cider in my room with a friend later and I played monopoly with an ex and his friend earlier today. The food was decent and I staved off boredom by cleaning my dorm. |

I had a great TG, I ate a great meal coined 'Shmoe Goop' with one of my best friends. --Shmoe Goop: 2 boxes of valveta shells n cheese, 8 hotdogs, 2 cans of chili. Mix it all up, BAM Shmoe Goop-- and then we went to a homeless shelter 6 blocks away from where we live in L.A. and helped serve da homeless peeps some good food =D Other than that I have just been chill on the net, talking to friends and family from michigan on facebook.

Heh, I'll have to record it somewhere anyways. It wasn't too bad; I was happy with my desserts, though I just found out that my dad ate my favourite cheesecake flavour(it's a variety pack) which was not cool at all. |

I really can't complain -- had an early dinner with a friend and his grandparents.
Relaxing day, to say the least -- campus was virtually a ghost town, with lovely weather (rain in the evening/night, cloudy during the day). I've practically had my entire dorm to myself. The only weird thing was some rogue cab driver thinking I needed a ride as I ate my lunch outside Safeway. He didn't realize that my skateboard was just behind the wall I was sitting on. Other than that though, I didn't have to interact with more than... 5 or 6 people today. Was incredibly awesome. |

It was ok. Only got into one argument, after dinner I played some Wii, BS, and ERS with my cousins while listening to some music, then we did some card tricks, watched some YouTube videos, and a movie. There are only 10 of us here, 5 more are coming tomorrow, but considering we usually have 30 this is a small turnout.
