Same.
I could easily do 10+ hours every. Single. Night.
I'm kinda curious about a polyphasic schedule but I don't think I'd be functional for too long

I've tried it. Doesn't work.

I need at least 9 hours in order to feel refreshed. Anything less and I can't function very well the next day. The perfect amount of sleep for me is somewhere close to 10.5 hours.

However, I am an 18 year-old male. When I was younger (before puberty) I only needed 7-8 hours to feel fully refreshed. And who knows how much I'll need in the future.

I try to get around 7 hours of sleep every day. I get more than that on the weekends but on the weekdays I try to aim for around 7 hours of sleep.

Yes. I'm not that good of a person to be around if I'm even slightly sleep deprived. Not sure if this is a personality thing, though.

i need a lot of sleep. like 9 or 10 hours or else i'm grumpy (more so than usual). my eyes also do this weird thing where one doesn't look like the other if i don't get enough sleep, so i like sleeping and looking more normal.

Doing so badly with my current sleep habits. I seem to be sleeping for less and less hours, and the decline in my ability to concentrate has been quite severe lately.

Usually sleep anywhere from 6-8 hours during the week and 10-12 hours on the weekends, but I'm trying to get in more of a routine. Never a good feeling when you wake up and only have a few hours of daylight left.

That's a great feeling. You get to stay up all night and enjoy the peace and quiet!

I prefer to get about 10 hours of sleep a night. I can't enjoy anything when I'm sleepy so I will gladly go to bed at 6PM if it means being fully alert the next day.

I'm 24, and try for at least 8, Ideally 8.5 hours.

My parents sleep only 6-7 hours a night. I can't wait until I can get by on that. I'll have so much time during the day.

Im 25, and I usually get about 8-10 hours of sleep. Funny thing is that I have no problem sleeping in a moving truck, but I cannot sleep in a quiet room. Other drivers say they have never seen someone sleep so soundly in a moving truck. I dont know why, but the sound of anything mechanical is really soothing to me.

I would also like to add, despite having adequate sleep, I still require copious amounts of caffeine to function half that of a normal human being.

My husband is an INTJ and requires a lot of sleep. I would safely guess 9 hours on avg each night and he loves his naps as well, just today he took a 3 hour nap.

I avg about 5 hours per night.

Heavy sleeper here, with few exceptions I go over the recommended 6-8 hours per night, every night.

52 y.o. healthy male--9.5-10 hours. I'm reading about some interesting pre-Edison sleep habits. Does anyone have a deep sleep, stay awake for awhile doing things, then have a second deep sleep? Sorry if this has been covered earlier in the post...impatience...

Right around 8-9 hours is good for me. A while back I was experimenting and stayed awake for about 36 hours. This left me unable to think and I was left with mindless opinions.

7-8 hours/day. I heard the Leo da Vinci hardly slept. I would be so much more productive if I didn't have to sleep.

8 hours a day = 33% of your life is spent sleeping

If I live to 72 years, that's 24 years spent sleeping.

Depressing.

7 hours is good and I can do ok on 6. I fall asleep easily and I sleep through just about everything, including near hurricanes and cats walking on me during the night.

While the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome was a thing, I could sleep 12+ hours, take a nap during the daytime, and it didn't mean squat. Well "unrefreshing sleep" is one of the symptoms, so I guess that's to be expected.

btw, if anyone has a problem with a racing mind while trying to fall asleep, herbal passionflower may help that. I haven't seen anyone explain how yet, but it appears to boost GABA in some way.

I always feel and do better if I've had a good sleep. Sometimes that's difficult though, I can be kind of a night owl.

I need surprisingly few hours of sleep a night to get by. For about two and a half years now, I've slept about 2-4 hours a night on average (if I decide to sleep at all). Although I need few hours of sleep per night, I enjoy spending more time exploring the depths of my unconscious mind through an interesting phenomenon called lucid dreaming.
