Get yerself a Remington SCC-100 and trim it short if it bothers you. I cut my own hair once a week. Works damn good.

"Your Lucky Lotto Numbers: 12 57 02 69 23"?

What, I'm a fortune cookie?

All right. Let him have a mid-life crisis at 29. Fretting about superficialities and following his dick around.

Cliches are often true.

I wish elementary stuff like that was clichéd. One doesn't have to look very far to see it's not.

I hope I am having it now. That means it will be long out of the way by the time I'm 40.

I probably wouldn't even notice if I meet you after seeing your photoshopped picture on a dating profile. I don't photoshop myself as a rule, but to each his own.

Were you just looking for reinforcement of your own insecurity? That way lies stupid choices.

NEVER let the imaginary likes/dislikes of imaginary women you haven't even met dictate how you live your life. Your mom's old, bro. Bald is the new hot:

Bald can take a hot guy from average to stellar...

Kelly Slater is super-hot, but he'd be less hot with hair. His lack of hair is what makes his eyes look so damn compelling.

Seriously I can't see the problem (both as a general rule and in your specific case). But then I know some people with very crazy standards so my opinion may be not so relevant.

For my own head, it matters for purely aesthetic reasons. On others' heads, I'm not too bothered. Really, I hate the way I look with hair that's too short. A barber cut it so that it was only a few centre-meters long one time and I honestly felt like cracking the mirror with my skull. My hair grows considerably slower than others' too, so I had to wait a while for it to look respectable again (an upside was that, once it did, it stayed around that length longer than the average person's).

If I ever start to bald, I'm getting a toupee. The one difference between me and other toupee wearers will be that I'll actually admit to wearing one.

I voted woman + somewhat.

Why it is somewhat important depends on whether the guy (or girl) takes action in order to feel better, in case the person would actually feel bad about it. If not, don't bother. With action I mean pretty much anything that will solve the problem in a healthy way - anything from investigating about products, shaving head or seeing a therapist.

I honestly didn't see the difference between the pictures at first.

It's somewhat important to me. I'm 31 and can't notice if it's receding to be honest. I have my hair cut pretty short as it is, so if it started receding badly, I would just cut it shorter.

I've started getting gray hairs over the last two years and it freaked me out at first. I don't even care now. I'll never dye it either. Over time people get used to it, but if you dyed it for years and then stopped, it would be super noticeable.

I saw this thread, and remembered reading this quote before.

"I believed that no woman would ever be interested in me again. I prepared myself for the reality that a large part of my life was over.”

—Patrick Stewart, regarding his becoming bald as a teenager

I don't think he had issues in the relationship department.

Knowing some female identified people with alopecia, this comment really stings.

You're making a fuss about nothing. Worrying so much will only introduce wrinkles to that increasing forehead.

@Zibber: I totally agree.

Seriously, you keep your hair.. or it starts falling out. Is it really a big deal?

My hair is starting to thin, and recede.. So to combat this i started shaving my head.

Life goes on dude. Life is way too short to ruin it by worrying about something like hair
