I'm not sure what gets more brownie points, arrogance or inability to reason sufficiently.

At least incorporate the potential of choice.

The 2 possible conditions a situation can be boiled down to:

A) chained reasons beforehand --> The pregnant female wants the baby --> chained reasons afterwards

e.g.

This would mean that choosing before seeding an egg is of high priority, however it may not be known intuitively in the conscious mind. It might have not of been communicated in any other way as well.

B) chained reasons beforehand -->The pregnant female doesn't want the baby--> chained reasons afterwards

The agent's lucky day (assuming he didn't want a child either). This is where responsibility becomes irrelevant.

The problem lies within the first condition. Reasons including:
  • Welfare advantages (free money from tax payers)
  • Wanting a baby in general (dna winning over mind)
  • Sadistic revenge (unfortunate events)
  • Locking in a relationship due to the law (being forced to pay child support and to raise a child)

There are an infinite number of reasons as to what could lead to condition 1/A.

Ultimately, it boils down to whether deceit is morally valid.

If one thinks that 50/50 responsibility isn't actual reality then they could argue:

Is it morally right to sneak a foetus developing contraception in the vagina/body if you were deceived?

etc...

Pretty cool thread though.

So the dumb fuck pathetic hypocrisy goes unexplained. Oh, well.

It's been explained, you just don't like what it adds up to.

What was the explanation that removed dumb fuck pathetic hypocrisy?

Look, Nowt. I sympathize with your predicament, but your rights are inferior to her rights on this. And there's no compromise.

Make the best of it. It is not the end of the world.

And it may also be fully known that murder will be committed, and no murder is committed--

Another lucky day.

Oh? You said to incorporate the potential for choice, no?--

Now they [the two scenarios] are equal again--

Nowt - You remind of the guy that can't be talked to. So like a broken record you keep saying 'well I should be able to rob the bank, you know, because you haven't explained it well enough to MY SATISFACTION that I can't.' In the end, you just don't want to take accountability for your actions.

All that is technically required is that you understand the consequences of your actions...acknowledge them or don't...gravity still pushes down...and dumb people have been going to their graves for eons protesting to the end their heads about to be chopped off because they didn't 'get it' either.

For pregnancy yes. It's obviously more complicated than your gun situation.

Again, you don't get brownies for being a smartass.

Can you give me a single reason as to why you think killing a civilian is equal to unwanted childbirth?

There is no actual grey area, it's all black and white pieces between more distinct black and white situations.

You might as well rename this thread to The Ethics Paradox. To assume the same ethics in another one.

That is of course because you believe you're so correct. How is all that dopamine in your head doing?

She is pregnant and you are going to be a father.
No amount of arguing over the ethics involved will change that.

Accept it. Make the best of it.

I'd rather you explain why you think a car is equal to a can of coke.

Or why you think equating a car to a can of Coke is equal to equating murder to birth; gun to womb; bullet to sperm?--
