I always get the rare side effects or experience side effects from medication to a greater degree.
I;m not a hypochondriac(well, I might be) but it's really not the reason for this. Right now the issue is with Flonase, which is not even absorbed into the bloodstream and if ti is VERY minimally, so the vast majority of people experience no side effects. But of course, it hits me like a brick. I get spacey, anxious, and very tired all at the same time. I've had these issues with antihistamines as well so I have the choice of dealing with a dull sinus headache 24/7 or using the Flonase which cures the headaches but leaves me nearly catatonic and anxious at the same time e_e I don't take any other medication but I really wanted this one to work out. I suppose I am prone to anxiety in general but in my normal state I can handle it. Could part of our brains just be receptive to anything that has the potential to cause anxiety and other side effects? |

I have practically zero knowledge about medicine, but have you tried taking smaller doses? Your body might require smaller doses to feel the same effect as other people. That happens to me to some extent.

First of all, why are you taking the Flonase? Do you have allergies? Or a cocaine dependency? If so, do you know what you are specifically allergic to? Flonase is a steroid and really will only temporarily relieve the symptoms of congestion but your body will adapt, and you can develop other symptoms that will make your congestion worse.

Have you been checked for ulcers or other things which could impact the absorption of drugs?

Hey guise.
No, no cocaine dependency. I have allergies, not severe enough to make me sneeze but severe enough to give me a chronic sinus headache. I was taking the lowest dose but I quit, I couldn't deal with the spaciness, I don't think there's anything wrong with me medically. I'm just glad I don't need to take other medication. After about 2 days of stopping the Flonase I was feeling human again. |
